Yesterday I drove my RC10 extensively and enjoyed very much watching it blast through the first autumn leaves. The JPS livery is just perfect with the beautiful fall colours.

Going to redo the shocks today by installing some brand new red Associated O rings all around.

Absolutely awesome, @Ferruz!!!

For me, took my 1:1 WRX STI for a drive this morning; was perfect autumn weather, light traffic..had a nice time.   All nice things come to an end, in my case I had to clean our house furnace filtration system which has a central ion air purification system.   Cleaning it wasn't too bad, but when I do this, I alway clean the storage area of my basement while I have the central vac hose out.

Cleaning the storage area is a royal pain in the butt as we have so many wire shelves and plastic tubs on dollies.. I move most of them around to vac under them.

And clumsy me, while moving stuff around, I knocked off the in-line duct fan on my ghetto paint (mini booth) box.. while it did not break, the inlet duct got bent making it SUPER tough to get it to couple with the flanged adapter on the paint box.    Had my son help me hold the thing.. after 15 min of struggle and some colorful profanity, I got the thing back together.

So.. now I can finally work on my exhaust tip on my Beetle.. My smart wife suggested I try this cake decorating nozzle as it looks kind of similar to the comical GrassHopper exhaust tips...  I showed her the car and immediately responded that it looks like a nozzle.   There are also longer ones too with piping if anyone's interested in trying on their cars.

Since I don’t do build threads here is what I worked on today..

Took the nozzle and an old chrome damper housing I had from CW01 (?)

Since I'm too dumb to do any 3D printing design work, used my usual styrene sheet and a knife and cement to make the bracket.

I have been building a replacement body for my scorcher off and on for a few weeks now but I concentrated on finishing it today and I'm pretty pleased with it because it's the first time the idea that was in my head actually materialised on the body

@moffman Looks good.

I just realized the Scorcher body has a clip on the ceiling to mount the rear of the body to the chassis.

This makes it A LOT easier for me to cut and join the front and rear sections next time because the Blitzer Beetle body I cut had a hole on the door which I had to putty.  Extra work I don’t need.

Can’t wait to get my Scorcher bodies to make a few more of these comical Beetles.   :D

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure the blitzer beetle body is the same one used in on the monster beetle but with a different nose cone that's why it has the mounting holes on the side?

Built my Lunchbox this weekend. We'll when I say "my", technically I bought it for my wife so she can join in when me and our 5yr old are out playing. I've got another clear replica body on the way that I'm going to do in pink with custom stickers for a running body for her, and keep the box art painted body for the shelf. I've wanted a Lunchbox for nearly 30yrs from going upstairs in D W Models in Bridgend when I was a kid, and I've finally got one! The built was enjoyable, you can tell it was an early model with its simplicity but thats its charm!

That’s what I thought, but there was a hole as you can see.   I didn’t even know the cone was different either.

So I drilled the cone for the indicators.. that is why I didn’t know what those small chrome pieces were a page or so back where I asked.

I've been struggling to pick up a Tamiya box wrench for the past month let alone a transmitter but I finally managed to get myself in gear and take the Monster Beetle out for a spin. Depression is no picnic.

Final touches of chrome marker have dried on Black Ranger…

Hard test on local ball field with the Mega Dragon.  Fast with 3300kv.  But ran awesome at full tilt for 30min without any issues. No heat problem.  Build complete…

Played with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner and a bad PS spray job. Paint comes off with light rubbing after soaking for a hour is so. No foggy polycarbonate.  Re-sprayed the wing red already. Looks great so far…

Yeah that's definitely the monster beetle body! There are 3 types of nose cone one for the monster beetle which has the attachments at the bottom for the spotlights the blitzer beetle is more rounded and the original one is the sand scorcher which has holes for the small lights (indicators I think)

Trust me I'm no expert! But I do have a soft spot for the VW beetle! model ones and real ones I do have the monster beetle trial but I think that one is a bit of a damp squib (body wise) it's a reissue of the QD monster beetle body so I've never built it (chassis good though)

Agreed.. I did not like it in stock form, so I modified mine to Billy's liking..

I just found out about a shop nearby that's definitely closing soon, kinda sad as I'm always looking for local shops before ordering abroad, and they never came up in my google searches. Now what's interesting is that they still have #47397 in stock, and at 98€ so I couldn't resist.

Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't order a second one just for the extra set of decals and wheels... <_<

Bush Devil strip down part 3

51522410897_93d1946908_b.jpg

Gearbox looks dirty outside but it seems to of only had light use judging by the lack of wear inside & on the axles dog bones & drive cups.

51523220171_4115a8173d_b.jpg

On closer inspection it’s in great used condition & the owner had taken care when assembling the kit, nice to see & not always the case!

The body has the paint flaking off, I’m hoping the rest’ll shift easily.

After a bit of scraping without chemicals.

The light & roll bar have been painted silver, after assembly so the screws on the back blend in, nice touch. I’ll be stripping them back though.

No action shots of the Dragon.  My phone was almost dead and I needed it in case my son called.

Here's a couple of the Ranger:

@Pylon80 Finally finished the 2012 today, as usual being an adult kept getting in the way of fun the past few weeks :(. After seeing pictures of @Willy iines creations almost daily I was inspired and thought it would be the perfect solution. So I ordered some paint, decals, and a billy (helmet seam was terrible on mine too) and went to work to create the “Billy One” or “Formula Billy”, idk maybe someone can come up with a better name. He’s a little big and couldn’t fit the arms nicely but it works for me . I’ll post some better pictures later but here it is..
