DeadMeat666 1675 Posted October 23, 2021 @Nikko85 I think the black truck would look better if that battery cover/fuel-tank looking part were painted chrome silver.

I just paint them. I'm on awe of some of the skills on here.😍

Nobbi1977 1793 Posted October 23, 2021 Dug out my next clean up and sell. Not sure what I was exactly thinking at the time but Gulf Racing TT-02 MS monsterised looks like the plan. It went round the garden once and I lost a dog bone so I added universals and then forgot about it. Plan A is to wash the body and get some chrome vinyl for the windows. Some number roundals to finish the gulf look. I still have the MS wheels but do not think the colour will go so I might have to move them on and get some black/white ones.

Frankster 2033 Posted October 23, 2021 Overall this sucker has multiple coats of paint. Grey primer + TS95 Pure Metallic Red + tS18 Metallic Red + TS8 Italian Red + TS80 Flat Clear + TS13 Clear. Primed both inside and outside. I wanted the bright metallic red look but the 2 chosen above are too deep for what I wanted to achieve. Flat clear was another mistake by ordering the wrong can. Asked the store and the said just to spray TS13 right over the flat. Was considering to used auto polish and wax but figured too much work for a runner. Will pause on installing the decals for now. All trims have been painted including the interior painted black. My first and hopefully not my last 1/10 hard body. Also swapped to operating rally lights and also made the headlights work

Busdriver 6209 Posted October 23, 2021 If you stick this lot together you may get an idea of what I have been doing the last few days!!!( probably more idea than I have!!!!!) I have some Camel yellow coming and some Camel stickers. We’ll just have to see what happens, still a lot of filing and filling but that’s what I love about hard bodies. Still waiting for stickers for the Polar tour 🚌

The next question then is what chassis has an appropriate track width and could be shortened for a mini Mini wheelbase? Pan car? Mardave?
Willy iine 18806 Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) Between last night and today I decided that I just could not get myself to do the box art on my comical SS. Mainly I’m not a fan of those fake brand stickers it comes with (nor slapping a lot of decals in general as some of you may have already noticed) so I decided to go off the rails again. I ran with off-white for the main body color to get some warmth and consistency to accommodate the battleship red I will use for the sides. Still undecided whether to go gloss on the off white or matte it down. I have a bunch of 1:1 car detailing gear so getting rid of the orange peel is no issue. However, I got 2 pin holes in the putty between the hood and cone. I’ve never had this happen before, but with my poor vision I am sure I must have missed it. I’m going to have to file a parting line there after the paint dries and re-spray.. might consider doing a black bonnet. Update.. Grooved a parting line for the bonnet to cone so that I could rid the pin holes. Actually the car looks better with this parting line..
