@Lee1075 Sorry to hear about the broken part.  :(  Would a reamer helped making holes instead of a drill?   Not sure.. GL with the new one with the revision.

Ive just noticed Ive become an Advanced Member. How and when did that happen. Does that mean I can drive my cars over London Bridge:lol:

@TWINSET can you tell me what the criteria is for becoming an advanced member. I am honoured to have reached whatever it is I. I think Tamiyaclub is the best forum I have ever been on. I have really enjoyed my time on the forum. The exchange of ideas, tips and good humour have entertained me for the past 3 years. I would also say it is one of the least aggressive forum I’ve ever been on, and even if it starts to kick off there are some cool old ( and young) heads around to diffuse the flare ups. The fact that there are so many long term members is testament to its quality

Swapped Jack Osbourne figure's heads with Willy with some cutting drilling and a long grub screw.  Going to paint his head soon.   Considering the helmet will be battleship red (blue), I think I can get away with his shirt color..but the pants need to be a tan, I think.

not ok on PC??

I think it depends on how the photo was saved to the site.  My office pc has a security blocker that won't let photos come through that are on a cloud storage area so I can't see a lot of photos on this site.   My iPad is fine though.

I saw his photo's yesterday just fine, but today I can't see them from any of my devices.  Perhaps he may have exceeded the allowed data size?

For some reason I don’t seem to get any of your pictures. Is it because I’m using an IPhone. Should it be ok on a pc?

Well after all my humming and hawing over buying a real 1:1 VXR8, I decided it wasn't really practical for the family and mostly the dog etc. Sooo I only went and bought a new style Volvo V60 Inscription with optional body styling pack and a few other bits and bobs. Went for silver as I have never once had a silver car and was Def not getting another black car 😁👍 Hoping to pick it up tomorrow or Friday. I only have a generic Google pic ATM, which doesn't have the styling kit 🤦‍♂️🤔

James.

The police have loads of them in my local area all different colours (unmarked)! Cool looking they look very purposeful and they are very very quick!

Redesigned my SD1 light bar base, as i manage to snap it into three pieces :(. Tried to drill two holes into it, one for the cables and the other for the mode button.

So i added two pre cut holes and four raised cylinders with screw holes to attach the led´s.

Base V2:

Also tested my light bar without the base to see how it looks lighten up.

Test one (indoors with daylight in the room)

Test two, in darkness:

I´m happy with the outcome.

Wow. Lights look great. Really realistic light flash pattern.

Bad luck on the break. Hope not too troublesome to remake.

Thank you, although that was in "demo mode", so it was cycling though all the 10 different modes it has. Not sure which one to pick yet

No, the break isn´t to troublesome really, a new base is already done.

Clear coated shell and test fitted lights. Would be interesting to build it with these wheels, but it'd mess up all sorts inc needing massive shell cut outs. They're just what's on the chassis right now.

Lights look wonky but will get straightened out when properly fitted.  Frustratingly I have yet to come up with body mounts I'm happy with, hence no holes yet.

Replaced the spur and pinion gears in my 3R MG Evo. 69T spur and 34T pinion giving a FDR of 4.06. If that don't blow the silver can, will have to go higher.

Also replaced the spur carrier as I damaged it when previously installing a spur gear. Turns out that the holes does not match properly and I ended up tapping new threads into the carrier. Lesson learnt that "standard" spur gears may not be that standard after all.

Also witnessed properly first time, the brownouts. When bench testing it, the previously mentioned moving while neutral showed itself although only mildly. When at full throttle, the steering may "twitch" a bit, that explains why the car sometimes seem to have a mind of its own. Hopefully I can blow the TBLE-04S along with the silver can.

Like the halo lights.  Who makes the shell?

I am waiting for magnet body posts at the moment (in the mail).   Also trying to keep the body clean as it came without any predrilled holes.

Shell is from Kamtec.

My sticking point at the moment is deciding how best to fit posts to the buggy chassis.

I bought some ring magnets to try out sometime, and I might try them on this. I do like the idea of that bonnet remaining holeless.

A small but satisfying job. Fixed some better quality two-part MST rims to the 30th Anniversary 934, meaning I could reduce the offsets slightly and drop the body a notch, improving the overall stance

And after (with apologies for the miserable wintery light today)...
