Had a bit of time to get the Chippy tools out today and change this,

B5E99E4F-474A-473D-98EC-6F573601ED74.md.

into this..

7B2DED8E-1957-42BC-A39A-F8F69F12B9B6.md.

DA684A67-E823-4450-9A3A-3FF3D8FCE008.md.

At least things are starting to get a bit more civilised in there now and starting to feel a bit less cluttered with the old black shop display unit & bookshelf out the way 😁

Still looks good though, even if does get out of shape on the track 😉.

I keep looking at the Tamiya 1/10 version of this and imagining it on a XV01, also thought about the Custom Escort,  (the white Cozzie lookalike thing but with a nice paint job 🤔)

It’s going to be while before I add anymore to the collection now though.

Thanks, I bought a spare body as it looks so good.  So far no breaks so should last me a while.   :D

Some playtime with the Bushy D…

Yesterday night I replaced the JG Mfg front shock tower and brace with this beautiful aluminum unknown maker front tower with built in brace.

Tonight I tweaked the body mount - replaced slotted screwed with hex and shortened the actual plastic mount.

I also added an another 5mm spacer where the steering turnbuckle connects to the steering knuckle on both sides.  I had to trim the knuckle slightly.

And I replaced the spacers I had mounting the front shocks with shorter spacers.  Works much better.

The front end is getting there…

Been painting and stickering a basher body for my TT02 type S.

Montech Trofeo. It's a bit rough and ready, with the white stripe bled into a lot, but it's ok.

Waiting for some offset wheels to finish it off.

Awesome mate, that is a very, very similar to the G2 purchase I made a little over a year ago. Restored it for my son, as he was only 4 at the time. See the thread for how I fix the A pillars🙂

Thanks mate that was a great job you done,I was wondering what to do for the pillars appreciate you posting 👍

For me, been playing with my Mini-Z's today, even tried my old RWD..only to get glitches all over the place.  It doesn't help that the router for the house sits only a few feet from my driving space.

Decided I want a RWD Mini-Z EVO as well to run off my 7PXR  so ordered the special red one that comes with oil dampers, ball diffs,  front caster adjustment.. plus a couple of bodies.  I already have a NIB receiver module so will use that.  These things cost as much as the 1:10's...  $200 for chassis, $50 for receiver, $55 for body with wheels/tires.. then you still need good 4 AAA nimh and a 7PXR.  :ph34r:

Hope to have them in my hands in a few days.

Tomorrow I plan to work on the M06 Beetle.. I think.

Printed chassis arrived.  Overall sturdy for what I need.  This new 2nd printed chassis fixed  mounting hole issues from my first attempt.

This one also has 2 problems.

I did not chamfer the rear part and the chassis does not fit with the rear gearbox   I will try filing this down to make it fit.

second I did not measure the front gearbox holes properly.

Overall I will file the rear part of the chassis and drill larger holes in the front to confirm if there are any other issues.  Afterwards I will reprint the bottom chassis again

Thats going to look very cool!! My first ever 1/1 car when I passed my driving test at 17 was a mini with a chequered roof it was light blue and white mini light wheels I bought it for £100 needed a new rear subframe! front subframe on the minis never rotted because the leyland A series engines always leaked oil thus protection from rot😆 and you could almost guarantee if you were driving it in the rain It would leave you stranded because all the electrics are at the front of engine only covered by a piece of cardboard which the rain soon renders it useless😆...........brilliant times proper motoring those were the days!

Today I’ve spent longer on the driver and body than I did building the kit 😂

I know how you feel. I spend ages painting these two and they’re barely visible in the completed car.

Finally finished (…ish, the driver isn’t painted yet) the Black Foot.

It’s not too bad. My first hard body shell so there is a lot of mistakes. I’d do so much differently if I was starting over.

My Mud (now Mad) Blaster has evolved into... The Toad :D (warts and all)

(probably not permanently, but it was a lot of fun to drive with these wheels and tires on!)

I tore the Super Hornet down and cleaned it real good. Clorox, alcohol and a toothbrush. Replaced crusty old bushings with bearings and cleaned the contacts on the MSC - they were black...Cleaned out 30 year-old grease and applied new to get everything in the gearbox nice and smooth. I also printed up another one of those axle braces I used on the Grasshopper II and put a torque-tuned motor in it, since the original silver can was quite worn out. As I said, I think this car was very thoroughly enjoyed by it's original owner..!

I think she cleaned up nice!

I know that the Super Hornet ran from '93 to '04. Is there any way to tell how old this particular kit was? If it was an earlier one or a later one?

First real bash with brushless tt-02b. Super fast and handles well! But one tumble scuffed my alloy shock cap.. and broke one side of wing mount. Maybe too much power. I may replace it with super stock or gt tuned motor… which car should i put hobbywing 4300kv system lol

@Sogogi sorry to hear about the scuff and damage.  Yeah, it's bound to happen on runners.

For me, finished the Mini and posted a few pictures in the gallery only thread.  Also in my profile if interested.   I have more pictures but no more attachment memory..

Wow, great job on the refurb.   You could have posted that picture and said if was a brand new build and we wouldn't have known the difference.
