A very understanding wife. With only 4 cars currently on the wish list, and 1 of those I suspect being unobtainable, the collection stands at 20 cars!

Spurred on by @wtcc5 TT01 build and @Juhunio jazzy TT02 dampers I got the short version of the black TRF out of the loft to replace the ridiculously looonnngg 42102 set. Their not as nice as Mr J's but still a bit blue.

I put a lower carbon damper stay on and it recommends the shorter dampers, got a set off @toyolien ages ago.

looks so much different now!🙄

Finished the chassis build of my TT02 Type-S bits-a-build. I think only the bumper mount, body posts and rear diff are kit-standard, everything else is an option part or Hop Up 😂🙄

Just need to finish the electrics off and then wait for the weather to warm up so I can paint a body shell for it 🥶

I should make one for the Javelin too..  just looks better on these exposed battery cars imo..

Took my niece and her Slash to Navarre Beach. We're definitely going to have to invest in some larger wheels/tires before doing this again. Anyone familiar with the sand here on the Florida Panhandle knows that it looks like and has the consistency of sugar. The only place these skinny little tires got any traction was dangerously close to the salt water. Despite it standing still and throwing rooster tails 90% of the time, it still got a lot of attention. Later we went by my uncle's place in Gulf Breeze and let him drive it until the battery was spent. Before we left, he quietly asked me to send him the info on where he can buy one for himself. He'll be 74 this summer, maybe I'll build one for him next.

Going with the gears on top and motor at the back he didnt drive well, possibly due to the center of gravity for the rear end being on the opposite side, relative to the wheels, from where it hinges for suspention.

After a bit of rotating i came up with this which drives a lot better.

1st proper post in forever 🤦

Cleaned up the TS today and listed it.

Taking the photos made me think it looks like a poor mans Avante - not a slight on either model just a notion 😊

Hope everyone is doing well 👏

Lovely looking car. I can see the TD4 being released with a 'Super Terra Scorcher' body next.

Good luck with the sale.

Anyone else think Willy could be some kind of master forger?

I have this image of him recreating a rare Faberge Egg and replacing it with the original.

Work and baby have been exhausting recently, so not much time for cars. However I was able to finish this off this evening.

It's a Quick Drive monster truck that's been extensively modified. All new electronics and servo. I've added a small 2030 brushless motor for lots of power and wheelies. I added 12 mm GF01 wheels all round. The rear wheels needed a 7 - 12 mm hex adapter and the front wheels have been converted with a couple of 12 mm bearings and a spacer to bring to width to match the rear. The result is a wider and much more stable car with a much greater option for tires. It's now for pretty much the same dimensions as a GF01 or WR02.

With the brushless motor the speed is pretty decent, and the solid front axle is surprisingly articulate. The two speed gearbox is also brilliant, I find it odd that so many "toy" grade cars had these, but they are rare on hobby-grade RC.

The body is another one of these MN45 jobs, which can be picked up for around £10 posted or so if you get lucky. I've got this style of body in silver on my MF01x crawler and I thought I'd try on the QD - works great I think.

I've also designed and printed a wheelie bar. With the small brushless motor the car wheelies quite a lot, so you need something a little better than stock! This clamps onto the gearbox guard which acted as the skid plate for the QD - not that those wheelied much.

A few sponsors. I've yet to see any money from this deal.

Overall very happy with this - I need to take some time to take to the park, but it works very nicely in the kitchen and garden.

Printed Jugger's pickup bed hinge V2.0.

It fits a lot better, happy with the dimensions but it just hits the battery tray due to the changes. So one more round to the drawing board....

Looked for a place to put the ESC, that is turning out to be a challenge with the car's decreased space due to the lower body.

Sold my Lancia 037 (see recent gallery post). I've spent 2 years planning and making it, ages and ages filling the body post holes and making magnetic mounts for it, detailing the cockpit, what felt like hundreds of coats of TS26 - as soon as it's done I stick it on eBay. What's wrong with me? I've done this a few times recently, I just enjoy building and can't stand them as shelf queens. Anyone else feel this way? Literally as the last part/decal goes on, the desire goes and I see it as pounds and pence ready to go into the next project.

The only ones I keep are cars like my Grasshopper that me and my kid actually get to thrash around. I love the simplicity of them, I love mending them when they break, they just seem to suit the environment near where I live better too. Maybe as I'm not so precious about it I relax and enjoy it more, feels like a "tool" for fun rather than an expensive scale modelling project.

For me, made a second battery this time for my Javelin.  It's already painted, just waiting for it to dry before loading it onto the car.

I changed the internals a bit to make it easier to assemble.   Again gave it some heat to get the distortion to mimic shrink wrap.  B)

Got the Alfa almost all done.   What I thought was going be one of the more simple paint jobs ended up giving me more headaches than anticipated.

Had to get a picture of both of these latest projects together.   Don't know which one I like more...???

Probably start to work on interiors for both of these next.

@Joe Bo I actually think that is a healthy attitude. Have the enjoyment of building and release the project into the wild for someone else to enjoy rather than live surrounded by unused toys.

I, of course, have done the latter and need to shift to the former. Ideally voluntarily...
