I see you're using the new steering set. Now that kit would look cooler with all blue turnbuckles, blue screws and blue center shaft. :)

Thanks for noticing @Nicadraus! And to reply to your suggestion (rather enigmatically lol), not with what I have planned :D

Well, after yesterday's fire, it was time to start the rebuild on the TL01B Chassis, as most of the parts have finally turned up. Quite happy with how it is looking so far.

I did some CAD modelling and some printing today for my Falcon, jigging the steering setup and making a fake servo endcap to keep the classic look

Had another garden run with the Dual Hunter. A bit slippy on the wet grass but the boy is getting better at handling it so no breakages this time out!

We’re now out of charged batteries so I’d better get them plugged in!

Some stickering tonight, after a little bit of orange and white painting.

I ordered some CC-02 links the other day from EBay. Used the ‘pay only this seller’ option as I had a few other items I was pondering in the basket. Sadly I was too clicky and didn’t spot that the seller had two items in the basket, so ended up with another NSX body. Oopsie :P However some image searching later, and some half used orange cans meant I have this

I’ll have a choice to make now as to where it goes, the first NSX was destined for a TB05

However I am now loving the orange, so it might sneak on there first

I installed the "long screw" mod on my TT02B because one of the screws worked itself loose and stripped, so my monster buggy is back in action. Also put in the high-torque servo saver, mostly to straighten out the steering link, as it was quite tilted with a flat aluminum horn. Also installed turnbuckle steering rods:

From the rear, I installed UJ's. I got some for the front and the rear, but disassembling the front knuckles would take too long tonight. I'll probably do the fronts tomorrow:

On this second pic, you can see why getting aluminum lower arms on an offroad buggy is a bad idea

My original TS is now back to original look thanks to the wheels, tyres and shocks from the 2020 kit.... have plans for the 2020 to make it not so box art 👍🏻

Got the TB-04 R to rolling chassis. Excellent to build. Need to decide what I’m going to do electrics wise now...

Looks stunning, what kind of rims are these?

Agreed they do look good, I've one and only criticism I have is the weight and lack of blue😕

Thanks 👍🏽 They’re Tamiya 54738 18 spokes. They’re carbon reinforced so tie in with the rest of the chassis nicely

I’m liking the dark side at the moment! Got my eye on an FF04 Evo Black edition also....

That is really a nice chassis the FF04.

I like tamiyas black edition chassis. they made a M05ver2 and a F104X as I know, also.

as for the TB04 it looks good, my buddy had one. I do have pros and cons on that chassis, it performed good but needs a lot of shimming regarding the drivetrain.

Yes as per the item description I thought they were going to be black also!

They’re the same colour/finish as carbon reinforced plastics If that makes sense
