Im getting there with my Second 1/24 Subaru Impreza Tsmiya model. Still need lights, decals and some antenna stuff, and yes its clear pearl on as i just used my leftover:

Edit: those that are not familliar with 1/24 Tamiya models, yes everything is hand painted with A Lot of Tamiya XF paint and TS Spray ... its very very Tedious work ..

Not today, but yesterday. Same playground of the last post, but the snow was frosty this time so I could play much harder. Took a few speeedruns with long powerslides that were a lot of fun, and the Scorchy had her first real jumps

well i tried to get something done but technology failed again... i called my LHS and inquired about ordering the Thunder Dragon  and they had the info on it but didnt post it up until i called. $230 CAD for it is sane but something happened to the site when i tried to checkout/pay for the order. the usual safe site payment site didnt show up as a payment option, maybe their site is down for maintenance??? will try it again wednesday. if not then i will call them to see WTH is going on... even just trying to order parts trees A and B for my TT02 didnt show a payment method.

i hunted down a $20 USD A5 2020 terra scorcher aluminum suspension piece with a shaft and C clip securing system. when the order for the TD goes through i will then order the A5 part to replace the stock one.

Should have all the parts by the weekend to convert and complete this chassis as an Egress and to get the other Avante2001 chassis finished. So I'll need a new Kamtec Egress which will also get the same colour scheme.

Just taken the Kei truck out on the icy patio. What a hoot. Even with fairly grippy tyres it just donuts all day long. I bought the extra battery for it though I don’t know when I’m going to get to use it!!! Seems to go on for ever😋

Although I've ordered a new Mondeo body from L & L, I want to resurrect the original body, which is a real pain. Working on this for several days with slow but constant success. Will keep me busy for a while.

Does anyone know how long it currently takes until L & L ships a  body? Ordered 10 days ago and haven't heard anything from them, besides the order confirmation.

while swoping  j12 on my original top-force i noticed one of the front gearbox housing screws would not tighten up then saw a crack ...can't beleive it tbh as i only put the dahm thing on new last year and is scrap already and the best thing is it's only sat in a box as i dont have space to display it so i orderd another "A" tree

technology can really suck at times. i tried my laptop and tablet to see if i can get my order in for the 2021 thunder dragon but it didnt give any payment option or working link to order it with the obligation to pay for it. its really hard to get them to answer the phone in the first place without having their answering machine take 99% of the calls and not following up on messages. i get that they could be too busy to answer in these times but its stressing me out a bit not even being able to see why they dont have a working link so i can get my preorder in............................................................

im gonna hit the phones tomorrow and see if they pick up or answer my email. if its a site wide issue then every one is having the same issue of having a viable option toe complete their orders as well.

I received a Kyosho KR331 in the mail - it hooks up to the KT431S that came with the Kyosho Trail King. Now I can run the sailboat with a proper 2 stick transmitter and not the same controller I run the Spartan with!

Got the Escort mostly done. The MF01-X is a nice chassis to build. Did the long pivot ball fix to the rear suspension, which I must do to the Jimny as well. I bought extra. Currently it’s built with pogos as there are no super mini cva’s to be had for love nor money . I’ve set it up as a tarmac rally car. Did a little photo shoot with a cousin!!

thank god, i finally figured out how to order the TD, i forgot to put the currency to CAD on my LHS site. $257 later and +$25 later i got most of the needed parts ordered for the TD. i ordered much needed parts from RCmart : Xtra Speed Aluminum Suspension Mount For Tamiya Thunder Shot / Terra Scorcher 2020. it comes with shafts that are secured with C clips. i think it will do very well for a out of the box hop up part. the only thing that sucks is that the TD doesnt have a 2021 release date yet... i think i misplaced my TARDIS somewhere at home.

It's after wet sanding and polishing. I'm attaching a photo of what it looked like after the gloss coat (before I sanded/polished it). As you can see there's some orange peel and it bugged me (ignore the dust specks as those are loose).

Unfortunately, it's winter here and I could never get the right finish. I've repainted and recoated this a couple times and I was never satisfied. Aside from this being my first time to paint a plastic body, I think it's not easy because of the scale. There's just so much coverage and right after I get a nice gloss on one side, it will get some slight overspray when I work on another section so it's hard to prefect. Maybe too I need an airbrush instead if canned paint. At some point I decided to proceed with sanding and polishing.

Hard work has really paid off. I have found larger areas harder with airbrush (but I am amateur!!) so moving back to rattle cans for the base colour.

So boating is off the menu this weekend - snap 5 day lockdown in Victoria due to the 'UK' strain getting into the community. 

Looks like it'll be Tamiyas at the local high school on my "track," as well as some micro crawling and perhaps even getting out the Spark drone.

Starting to build my DB02 last night, got 3 day off work due to chinese new years Holiday+ weekend. Hopefully it will be finished this weekend.

Need to take a break after tinkering with main gearbox and screwing (fvckin hard) carbon reinforced plastics  XD.
