Dashing duo! Rattlecan or airbrush @moffman?

Tamiya rattle can for both! Although the tamiya paint is quite expensive for the size of the can I always get a good result and the paints I find are always strong on the colour so I think they are worth the little extra cost?

Worked on my king cab and tightened up the diff. It was so loose before it wouldn't barely even move! Made shims out if a Mello Yello can, seams to work!!!

OK you lot.

Think back to earlier in the pandemic when I brought home my new gearbox, chassis plate and suspension parts for my Outlaw.

Now, where did I tell you that I put them?

Anyone?

No idea?

No, me neither.

I've checked the garage twice, I've been in the office today. Back up in the loft is the only remaining option I can think of. FFS.

Great to hear you're doing better mate :) Hope it's not too long before you get some more RC stuff going :)

Thanks, it’s appreciated!  I’ve already had my Stampede out last weekend, hoping tha by the time the PICC Line comes out I’ll have the other 3 Boom wheels for my Jimny then be able to take that and my other crawler trucks out on the rocks in a month.  Between earlier efforts and this illness, I’m down 92lbs since Christmas 2019 and have dropped 2 pants sizes in that time, hoping to be down another by end of May/Memorial Day.

My money’s on hiding in plain sight, that’s usually where my glasses are when I can’t find them.

Last night I tested the lights I rigged up on the Bandit - terrible photos, but you get the idea. The red lights are brilliant though - they illuminate the roost as I'm drifting around in the dirt!

This morning I posted the Valvyrn - AUD$36?! I'm going to have to start charging way more for postage... or use someone other than Australia Post.

I've had that temporarily when I was looking for certain RC parts BC I have several different one in different plastic bags...

I've had that exact situation happen 3 times with my tea collection. I have At least 17 different choices at any point and there were 3 different bags I had that I knew were somewhere but they just disappeared. I've looked several times but Nadda on finding them, it's truly infuriating when things just disappear...

Impressive! And yes, I too have decided they're worth the cost. Incidentally, when does your youtube channel with courses in masking and painting launch?

Nope, checked in the mirror - not there.

Not in the loft, either.

They must be in the garage somewhere, probably somewhere 'safe'.

Time to forget about them, they'll appear when they are ready and I'm trying to find something else, I'm sure.

It's just a matter of taking your time when masking! When I left school my first ever job was car spraying had all the back then qualifications (back in the lethal cellulose paint day which I believe is now banned) when the Ford escorts and Ford cortinas ruled the roads and probably even today it used to take 3 times longer to mask up a car than it did actually spraying it! The quality in the finished job is how much time you put in to preparing the car weather it's a 1:1 or a 1/10 buggy, the 3 colours with the silver inbetween took me a slow 3 days with tamiya masking tape and making tape for corners because the quality is as good as your going to get IMO, I'm not a fan of the liquid masking I've never got a acceptable result?

Lots of little details need to addressed still. I cut out the white from the sticker sheet and used only the black molding for the front side windows to test the look. I need to pick up black pinstripe tape and redo. But most decals are affixed.

I’d go white to match the top half.

Yes, well -when you put it like that I can see how me being as patient as a nuclear bomb is a drawback when it comes to masking and painting.

Also, no wonder all your kits look stunning, you're a semi retired professional after all. + yeah, glad you got out of that business before it wrecked proper havoc on your central nervous system.

I like it "as patient as a nuclear bomb"  trust me mate I've had some total disasters granted it was because I was rushing them but anyone can do it it's just all about taking your time if you feel that its going wrong stop and walk away! I love looking on this forum at all the different creations that people do that's why I'm a bit concerned on all these pre-painted bodies tamiya are doing and the fact as it stands at the moment you can't go and get an extra body to Express your individuality on a newly built kit! But hopefully this will change when the world is back to some sort of normal life?

Personally I wouldn’t put bumpers at all just some chrome t shaped bumperettes ( if such a word exists 🤔
