Couple of things actually since yesterday

Got a big box from Jason, and updated showroom with the latest buys & changes in the collection.

Got my Magura hydrolic brakes for the FG, and some other bits,

like aluminium diff conversion, aluminium radio plate & servo saver.

so now i can start rebuilding & improving that beast.

Hope it stays in one piece longer now with a decent set of brakes! <_<

Then, a co-worker crashed his 1/1 rig  , he escaped unharmed but shocked.

Just bought some items at Tower Hobbies. I have to reach the $200 mark just to have the special $30 e-mail coupon.

Those TH coupons are really temptations, lol.

I went to see some qualifying action at the 2007 IIC here in Las Vegas (yearly BIG race). The WORLDS best drivers showed up!! Had some fun watching the Factory Mod guys like Rheinhard, Hara, Moore, Lemieux and Tossolini rip up the carpet. Had a chat with Josh Numan TRF driver and kind of a word or two (lol) with Rheinhard, you can say he speaks better English than I do German!!!

Both Josh and Marc were more than happy to take a pic together..

Well, after a nervous night, I finally got my car (hopped up TB-01 with motor, servo and esc and a carbon painted 350Z body) from customs.

I hate paying taxes on toys. Nearly tricked myself out this time :)

I'm still working on my dune buggy and I'm painting the 2CV Citroen body (the famous 'Duck') for my sweety.

Could win some old Kyosho Dash wheels tonight. Let's see if they fit under the GT40 body I have sitting on the shelf.

Not done today, but the mod's that I have carried out are as follows; Junfac front axle guard, as seen here;

DSCF1718.jpg

I have raised the body by flipping round the metal plate that you screw the body to, and cut down the pegs that the foot steps screw to, for the rear I used a total of 6 per side of the bronze (?) bearing bushings (3 per screw).

Due to the Junfac axle guard being fitted and still using leaf springs, I have had to remove the stock brush guard, it clashed, and resulted in less axle articulation and a bent brush guard. I have also fitted a HPI Savage front bumper, I screwed it to the front bumper, as seen here; PA020002.jpg Also seen in this photo are the alluminium axle blocks that I got off ebay to give a little more lift.

I also cut the pinion/slipper cover to make things easier coming changing the motor etc.. Other mods that I have carried out are; RC4WD rear axle "straight" adapters, a real pig to fit as we know!! As you can see, I haven't painted it yet, but it is something that I am going to sort out soon.

More pic's are available in my showroom as well.

I havn't been here for a couple of days..

I've been busy building my Re-Re Hotshot.

Fully Ball Raced,

with a little mod to the front shock:

Added a small 'Helper' spring on to the shaft of the shock,

between the shock body and retainer nut at the end.

Used the supplied shock oil and the shock piston with the smallest orifices.

To make the dampening effect stiffer. Still a little too quick on the rebound.

hopefully though the mod will prevent the front from bottoming out all the time

May have to get a Hotshot HP suspension kit.

Painted the Hotshot body Park Green and Fluro Orange (Same livery as the Mazda 787b)

Still waiting on the 787b Decals to arrive so I can finish the Shottie's body.

Then it'll be photo shoot, run video, and up into the showroom for all to see

What have you been up to?

So, what have you done today?

I ran my Group C on the track, got rear-ended twice (no damage to the car other than the body), ran it off-road a couple of times, hit the wall twice (once after getting rear-ended), and managed to crack the left front side of the body in such a way that should I hit anything now the body will drag over the ground. :P

Also, I might toss the Sport Tuned for something more powerful. Running almost the whole track at full throttle is a bit boring...it will also reduce the chance I get rear-ended.

@SDGator: all the best wishes to you and your family!

didn't do a lot today.

Added the brushless engine in my dune buggy. Payed the three ESCs I bought in the net. Mounted the 2CV body on the TB-02 Chassis. Added a steering servo to my Kyosho AC Cobra and started to make an inventory list of all RC items I have.

- about 50 complete cars (20 built, rest projects and some NIB)

- 10 surplus bodies

- 150 wheels and tires

- tons of small spare parts

- several transmitters, receivers and chargers

I have started to do this because i estimate i have about 1000 - 2000 EUr sitting around (parts and equipment alone) i will never use

Watch the trades section before X-mas.
