TS-13 no longer in stock? Glad I could find one...

I just put up two of my cars for sale in the Sales/Trades/Wanted section after finally working out the problems with the third one. I am looking for some money for university - or another Tamiya!

Swapped the burnt out traxxas 2080 servo for a hitec hs-82mg one. Now have steering back but still no drive on my merv so looks like the multimeter will confirm the esc has gone bad :(

Spent the day on Littlehampton beach with my latest KBF/Baja Bug project. 3 batteries of jumps, kicking sand around and the whole family having a go and the Bugs not missed a beat!

On the other hand my brothers HB2010 fried it's ESC and somehow managed to crack off a front fender!

After setting up my workshop in the garage, I started work on the Jero front end as it needs the servo refixing, and the servo horn switching sides to give a longer throw to the knuckle. Picked it up not realising the lock nuts for the wheels were loose in the chassis, tipped it up, and just managed to clock the sound of a lock nut tinkering on the concrete floor as it disappeared. Had a quick look but the Nut Fairies (another genus of Fairy similar to the Tooth, and closely related to the Step Screw Gnome) will have had it away by now so I suspect that's £5 on a new pack of four.

FFS! :angry::lol:

The red one? I was watching it but decided to be sensible!!!

the very one - not sure whether to spend £££ on it to get it back to what it should be or just use as is, warts n all !

good for picking up wire wool fibres too, especially if you've been working in places that the other half doesn't allow

I know myself too well - I would've ended up spending too much on it!

Making progress on this one...

At least you didn't push the price up for me lol!! Minimal spend when it arrives with me i think - run it and enjoy it (for a change) ;)

Fitted a MB driver in my CC01, swapped heads with the HB driver and made a simple rod connection to the steering servo so now he looks the way the car turns. This afternoon the Landcruiser was making most of the weather on safari in sunny Surrey.

Last night I managed to get the first colour laid doown on the monster beetle rebuild, and got the driver figure 80% complete. Masking and second colour coat today!

Didn't do too much, just got the Volvo 850 body set out to have a good look. It's the re-re, so Tamiya didn't even include windows masks! Just a printed paper template <_< Mould quality around some corners is a bit dodgy too, but overall it's a great, original looking shell.

Great day for painting!

So far have managed two light coats of gunmetal followed by four coats of Italian red. Colour not quite what I wanted but I'm starting to like it now it's sat gleaming in the sunshine.

Off to model shop now for a load more paint ;)

Added another few coats of colour, removed the masking - now waiting on the paint hardening and the arrival of some 800-2500 grit wet n dry and some TS-13 lacquer.

Hung out with my Avante today:

I did get to bash about with it, testing it after rebuilding both the differentials and almost the entire front end. I can see the car's tendency to oversteer now... Regardless of how it drives, hopefully it will be the car I will attempt my first circuit session with in a few weeks.

With the monster beetle shell hardening off after much painting, I turned my attention to the Kyosho sand master....

..decided to paint the body panels so removed all the horrid plastic clips, sanded, primed and painted. Need another coat of colour then clear

..rebuilt the kit supplied wheels, moving the black beadlock ring to the outside and the bling chrome one to the inside

..built 60% of the chassis before realising I'd mislaid the two 3x32mm pins for the rear wishbones

..modified the rear chassis for a but more down travel (as GregM)

..fitted ansmann shocks on the front, same to go on the rear.

How do you rate the Ansmann shocks mate ? I'am thinking of fitting a set of 95mm units to the dagger/blackfoot 4x4x4 as i dont want bling items . Quality wise are they ok ?
