Sending over the seller on eBay an offer on the 58025 -  I'm not very optimistic but it's worth a shot.   Really wanted one unbuilt, but at this point brand new, built is probably just as desirable.

Offered $910 shipped, he wants $960

Ugh.   I have a hard time justifying close to a grand on this.

The biggest issue I would have is that the seller appears to have already cut the polycarbonate body.  I'm pretty picky about the appearance of my Tamiya cars so unless I screwed it up, I would not want to buy someone else's (most likely) poor cutting job.

.. but that is just me.  With hard shells at least I can repair and restore the bodies..

Like from this..

I thought it was about time to get a new  workbench.  The old computer desk, whilst serving it's purpose, was always too small for it's alternate intended purpose.

So, from  this...

The hobby room is still a work in progress.  Storage and display is an ongoing dilemma.

I agree with you and def share your concerns.  I'm also wondering if that bumper is perm affixed to the body now.  I'd rather paint hard shell bumpers off the car first.  I might just wait and keep looking.   I'm not a fan of cutting the bodies before painting either but that's another preference I have carried over 30 years.

Yeah, at near one grand, I would wait.. even if someone came out with a NIB for $1500, that would be the one to get.

I kinda wanna build this one too.  From scratch.  Even though it'll take about 5 minutes, I still want to build it.  Haha.  The guy Italy who had one took it down.   He wanted like $1100 and I offered $1050.

That was unbuilt.

I found one in AUS but they haven't answered my email.. and they want like $1250USD

I will be in the market for a professional painter for this body too.   I just haven't decided what I'm going to do.   I am thinking box art but in different colors.   Like dark blue/gray/white stripes, or something else similar.

I know exactly what you mean.

It's hard to put a price on vintage cars because it's worth as much as you are willing to pay.   And the box condition, seller's behavior, location, etc all come into play.

Peeled the protective film off today.  A couple of lines aren't as straight as I'd like due to being a bit wobbly with the knife but otherwise it's pretty good.  Just have to add some stickers and I'm done.

I stretched the CC02 wheelbase to 252mm and took off the front bumper and I think it looks much better.

Just pressed like, cos I do and then I realised what body it is. Now I really like. First time I’ve seen this cut to represent a more stock type of shell rather than the Rock Socker or Asterion!!

Finished the Lego Technic Defender. Great build and I was able to do it on a tray on the dining table. Made it easy to clear up. Also no parts to cut just sorting through 1000’s of pieces like a jigsaw. Have my eyes on a couple of motorised ones for the New Year.

Just ordered an Egress here in the US.

Not only was I able to find one, but I ordered from a brick and mortar hobby shop vs. a big box retailer (or ebay). Pretty excited to be honest.

Yeah, HubHobby, right?  They are great.  I ordered several kits from them and a bunch of plastic model kits to make my wall of US military tanks and Jeeps the other month. :D

They have the rere Avante too.. if I was a buggy guy I'd get those too, but I am not so just got the Egress.  (my focus is cars Willy and Billy can drive).
