Finally got this fitted with electrics this evening, final painting done and a few additional stickers! A really nice kit purchased from @Busdriver and a pleasure to buy from!

Had a little drive round the house with it and looks like it could be a lot of fun out on a track, only issue I’ve had is the 66mm batteries I got for it are more like 76mm and just about fit if forced in, probably need to find some around 55 -60mm to make sure they fit nicely.

I have another body on the way from Plaza Japan and just need to figure out what colour to do it, in hindsight should probably have ordered two extra bodies!

Pleasure doing business. Looks really good. Hope there were no parts missing🤞🏻

It's not an Egress kit so should be okay!  :D  ..

Stripped and cleaned the DT-02 eBay purchase. No front brace or gear box cover pictured here as they were both damaged and so went in the bin.

Now I need to start a build thread;)

Ha, thanks @toyolien. It's the only way I can get some order and exercise some perfection (to a degree) on a bashed up eBay purchase that will remain a basher in my hands as well:lol:

Perhaps a touch, yes @Willy iine!:ph34r:The body parts were laid out organically as they were cleaned. The hardware I spent about 10mins fiddling to get that shot after cleaning it all up. The plastic bushings won't be going back in the car as will replace with bearings.

Took my two 3Rs out to try out their ridiculous gearing. Managed to smoke (literally) at least one silver can but got close to what the app said the speed will be.

Made a very basic stand for my Egress.  Just tall enough for tires to contact the ground, but no vehicle weight applied.

Stripes of foam at the top not to scratch the Egress’s tray.

The idea is to keep it as simple as possible to be as invisible as possible while on display.   I could use clear plexiglass or ABS, but these are easier to cut and no unwanted reflection.

@Grastens did a great build log if your cogs need to go up a gear :D. Some fun reading while you wait for delivery!

It is one I would have liked but I really am out of space for road cars. Monster trucks and crawlers for me now...oh, and a TD-4 to build. Oops, forgot the 934. And the Escort. Oh, dang it.

@Busdriver my build thread may be out of date, but I should still have all my pictures and documentation if you require them for your project! I look forward to seeing it ;)

Is the goal here to see how fast you can go with silver cans or grill up a steak on the motor housing?

Both actually. And, really, I have too many unused silver cans around, as in the past I never used them, so thought I will smoke a few to give me an excuse to throw them out.

Forget the pin screws and replace with shafts instead.

Yeah, good shout. I am tempted, but want to keep the costs on this particular build for now, unplanned eBay purchase n'all that. Getting some bearing and decent shocks are the first priorities:)

Do you know the lengths for the required pins? The three sizes of stock screw pin are 46/32/22mm. Do suitable shafts measure up the same, as in E clip to E clip, or are they measured end to end meaning you have add a few mm to the stock screw lengths?

Here’s one I prepared earlier 👍

IIRC, you will need the TL pack, the 22mm pack(s?) and if you want to replace the one holding the bottom of the front shocks, the rather hard to find 54396.

One of my favorite hop-up

Same here, one of the must add items everytime I shop at PJ these days, but I think the longest one in the M-05 set is rarely used.

Selling my F10 on Ebay, as well as the Golden Arrow, and sold my RadioShack 4x4 to Ax, and giving away some tires.... so it's more stopping than starting.... but then I did purchase new QD chassis, so life finds a way. Also ordered some red and white paint, so my King Cab is going to happen.

Nice one guys, I haven't placed an order with PJ as of yet, but been tempted many a time. What other must haves do you order? I'm thinking some of those little 4x6mm tubes for the shock screw are going on my list:)

They’re great value for things like suspension pins, turnbuckles, shock pistol rods, damper parts, ball connectors, tyres, pinions, wheel nuts, craft tools, even super stock motors are dirt cheap. Keep an eye on the postage costs, once it hits about £15 for registered Air shipping I tend to stop there

Personally I wouldn’t bother with kits and body shells, the shipping is too expensive. But for small hardware parts they are really cost effective and totally reliable
