Added the remaining mechanical parts missing on my Nichimo Spirit FF CAD model...

Interest while those mechanical part will never get printed is that you get possibilities to check measurements and correct them...

Not RC related, but this car still took a huge chunk of my time. It was quite the challenge, but I'm pleased with how it turned out so I thought I'd share the end result with the TC folks for once.

Finished my 2020 Terra Scorcher today!

Lamp buckets painted and prepared. Two mounted, rear has had 4 layers of tint painted by brush. Lower scratchbuilt slotted grill also in. Will be decent when done. Rushing for 2024!

Got too many cars and projects so decisions had to be made. <_<

Sold the mini and konghead, so I have more space for the Marui cars.

I hear ya, I'm going to have to play by ear when my Jav arrives.. I have 2 other cars I want to do and only have space for 2.

I was joking with my kid I'm going to start placing RC in his current bedroom since I'm taking it over next Fall anyway since he's moving out for college.. and his 'room' will be moved into a corner of our finished basement for those times he comes home during holidays and breaks.  I want my kids to feel motivated to move out when they reach 22.. and making it more uncomfortable for them to realize the real adult world is approaching whether they like it or not.

Ok tamiya you win! Absolutely impossible to put a hobbywing brushless combo in a super avante the space or should I say lack of space no matter which way you have the motor the wires just keep on getting in the way of eather the gearbox or the under tray the wire are just not flexible enough? I've now gone for a brushed 12t modified with 2s lipo!  it fitted in straight away with no messaging around and it's still blisteringly quick! Can't understand the weirdness of the design of this buggy didn't tamiya learn from the original hotshot the slightest change to anything results in an almost complete strip down

Doesn’t always work. Just getting rid of my son at the end of this month and he turns 33 in a weeks time!!!!

Fitted a set of HPI Pirelli tyres to my SD1 project, looks so much better now with those tyres.  Also got the body cut, sanded down and the ride height set.

A Big Bear that needs a body, chassis is done.

Galaxy RS in pieces, needs rebuild but I have everything.

Ninja, complete.

Shogun, complete.

Samurai, in progress.

Golden eagle, complete but needs a driver.

Basher-Bear, Bullhead-bear and Frankenstein-Bear need a place too.

 

Edit: forgot M-05 Bear, enough parts for a 2nd Bear, and plans for a blazing Star based Course Melling Thunderbird.... :lol:

- Hunter complete

- Galaxy (red one, missing a wing)

- Galaxy RS (blue one, missing a wing)

- FrankenGanters and a Galaxy RS to be completed (missing bodies and wing mainly at this stafe)

- Samurai 1 - complete, cleaning needed

- Samurai 2 - complete, need a  gearbox revision

- Samurai 3 - incomplete, waiting for some printed parts and a body shell

- Ninja - missing a driver, body and wing, cleaning, and probably checks in the gearbox

- Shogun - Incomplete, missing driver, body, and some parts in the gearbox

All the buggy class are there, at least. Once those are done, I'll focus to find a T-Bird Coors...

Not today but last Friday's night we went out for a lil RC action. Way too quiet for a Friday tho. Anyway, here's some pictures...

None of my cars were ready to go, so I had to take the Wrangler out of retirement for what would be its last spin. I just love this Jeep!

And you know something, I was telling my friend the other night I have a thing for brown, while most people usually hates it. The color of the old Porsche 928 or Colt Seavers' GMC truck left some impression on me when I was a kid. So brown Jeeps I just love 'em!

I finally found time for RC today. I went for some Postal Racing with my two top cars and also, I created a little fire extinguisher from scratch! 

I was going to buy one online, but on second thoughts I decided to try and build one myself. Quite pleased with the result, and I used some clutter I had kicking around to make it which also feels good. It's going to go in my Lancia Delta cockpit.

Enjoyed a nice cuppa made by my Daughter this evening accompanied by a chocolate digestive, while building a TT02R chassis + a couple of extra hop ups, low friction balls, low friction suspension shafts and aluminium steering linkage that will be for my Ford GT MK2 as it’s original kit chassis was used for the MK1 Escort.

So yesterday's flop was this background I wanted to add to my Tamiya banner on the wall.. it needs some sort of boarder as the wall is a light gray.. and I thought adding some snow camo would look good.  Well it does if it's a floor mat, I suppose, but since my room is very angular with no curved decor, it looked like Coolaid man bursting through the wall.. :wacko: :blink: 

:lol: Hahaha..

So I tossed the roll in the trash.. however that camo looked real good, so going to make another attempt and make it just a thick rectangular boarder.  :D
