Saw a lot of Marui Samurai parts on a local market website, so I'm going to chain myself to the heating radiator, and throw my pay card and phone to the other side of the room....

Good. You wouldn't want to get weak and start retracting bids...

My work gave me this today.  I’m impressed how clean it sounds for its 1/2 soft drink can size.

It will come along with me when I take my RC cars to my indoor makeshift track. :D

Nice. I have two of these (XB10 version) paired wireless in stereo. The sound is amazing and loud. My advise: buy a second one and pair them.

Today I signed up for this amazing forum! I don't know why it took so long. I've been a Tamiya nut since the early 2000s when I was in high school, but oddly enough I just recently found this forum after years on RCGroups and RCTech.

Obligatory image of my newest Tamiya model! TT-02 with a KillerBodies Evo X rally car body.

Looking forward to many years of sharing and absorbing knowledge!

I finally got a chance to try the 13 tooth pinion today with the SportTuned motor on the rere HotShot.  Much better punch out of the corners, but the motor still gets pretty darn hot in the quick 12 min run.

Anyway, better than the 15 tooth pinion  for my application.  :D

The car can use a tad bit more toe-in on the rear..

Going a bit stir crazy as the baby is 5 days overdue, so I took some fresh air and exercise and took my QD MT to the park. The widened stance makes it much more stable, although did feel a little slow perhaps. Driving in the earth banks was lots of fun..

A great looking car for sure!

I'm blown away at how cool the CLK GTR looks.  This is the 200mm nitro version, bought the shell years ago.  It was pre-cut but unpainted, tried to mold it years ago not successful, bought another uncut copy.  Thought I didn't have the CLK Sportswear decals, so I bought a set of D2 repros from MCI.  This will be the new body for my TT02R spec racing car (previous body was a McLaren 720S from BittyDesign).

And my other club racer, an M08 with a long OOP HPI Lancia Stratos body, the race organizer sold me a pair after seeing my rough/used one that I used to bash around with on my Cup Racer.

I wanted to do a non-standard paint scheme that wouldn't look so bad when the M08's bodywork gets rubbed during racing, I went with the 1975 San Remo winner scheme.  On the left you see the standard paint scheme on the Cup Racer with 3d printed wheels designed by @VagabondStarJXF

I did a very minor adjustment to mod that allowed me to get hex wheels at the front of the 2wd QD. Although QD are rather niche, maybe someone will find this useful as it is a common problem.

The previous design had one 12 x 5 x 4 bearing behind the wheel, this update now uses two. The hex depth is around 6 mm so the hex is now fully supported right to the end which reduces rocking. This in turn allows a smaller nut at the front without worrying about wobble, so a much smoother wheel. I guess the weight of the wheel is now also over two bearings  which might help

At the moment a series of spacers and shims bring the wheel up to the perfect height to allow the nut to be tightened fully, but I will cut some aluminium tube to replicate this for the sake of neatness.

EDIT: Took to the park. Much improved now, especially on tight turns at power.

I have an excess of projects and a spare time defecit so I did the only logical thing - ordered some parts.

At least it wasn't a new car! Hopefully I'll be able to use up a chassis and the body from the stash and cross a project off the list.

Very straightforward build and as always with kyosho everything slots together with ease! Just got to do the body and tidy the wires! and I've put a le mans 490 in it don't know what it will be like so I'm looking forward to seeing what it does?

Same! Thought I had enough bits to build a TA04-R, so made a start then soon realised I didn’t have the correct aluminium ball connector nuts in the spares box. So off to Plaza Japan I went…

Modern times battery tech has come to me. I got a shorty lipo for the Tomahawk earlier this week and made the first try today. To have longitudinal battery has made a difference for the better. Now the steering is super crisp.

Yup, PJ order via FedEx! I wonder how long it will take to arrive..

I have some stuff to keep me amused if it takes a while. (understatement!).

Yes mate it does come with the yellow tub! Which does restrict your choice of colours but I think I've pulled it off! Although it's one of kyosho's simplest of kits it's still superb quality!
