@Willy iine how about a tire mounting / balancing machine?   Hand jack?  Modern electrical power wall charger?

Thanks for the ideas!  Like a Hunter RoadForce.. I like.  :D

Thanks, honestly I am just slapping pieces together while I make Willy’s accessories hoping it all works out.  So I am not sure one would call that skill..!   More like random gathering of pieces..

But it’s definitely fun making them so I’m happy about that.      The best part.. it costs nearly nothing to make.

Today i went out for a first drive with my Scorched DT02.

FirstDrive.thumb.jpg.d26b44a67ab42f8527448b0ed608da44.jpg

Gotta say i love this thing, its the first proper rwd car ive had, the previous ones i had as a kid were all underpowered toy grades, this can do donuts and powerslides :D

As a sidenote i can report that, while this was quite mild bashing, the printed dogbones held up.

I also went by a store to pick up filament for reprinting the arms in black, rather than bothering to paint them as id like to do some minor remixing to them anyways.

Alright, remixing of the narrowed tread + shortened wheelbase DT02 front arms is probably done, printing in black filament now.

I added chamfers to the edges which looks nicer+i think should strengthen them a little, moved the hole for the suspension a little bit higher up+made it so that the screw pin can go in from the back and made more space for the stock shocks to avoid having to shave that post print, as i had to do with prints from the original files.

Sweet progress on your Blitzer, if none of my other suggestions worked then maybe a variation on this could do it by allowing the servo to mount more "in board" if you prefer that to/find it easier than out back?

Linking the servo remotely to what directly pushes the steering rods.

I like the inboard idea but first priority is to make the steering rod to work first.  I tried to keep it simple and have the servo horn directly linked to the steering rod but the bump steer was too much as I am looking for maximum clearance / suspension articulation.   Stuck at the moment and looking for parts to to make this work

Wow, you're really going to town on the scale garage accessories.  Amazing work!   You do realize you're now committed to doing a full diorama garage display now don't you?  LOL

Thanks!

Uhhhh.. I’ll leave the diorama garage to the pro’s aka @toyolien.   :D

Once I get the brake roller and cover on the tire balancer, it should look more real.

So, after some 3 months of design work, I managed to test-print some parts for my new rally chassis. It still needs tons of work, but I want to finish it before the end of the month.

Got the black front arms fitted, looking nice and the suspension moves better with the slight changes i did to make more space for the stock shocks. :)

Also received and fitted a fs-gr3e rx to it, decided to risk running it straight off the power output from the esc, full battery voltage without a BEC, it didnt blow up and the servo is loads faster, hopefully it will stay alive.

@Willy iine you knocked that out too quickly.

You need a harder challenge.  How about a dynamometer? 🤗
