That looks like a ton of fun @silvertriple!

Nothing I had on tap was strong enough to remove the paint on the windows, so I stickered up the Super Astute. I have hi caps on hand, but want to try on the track with the kit dampers first.

Looking sharp:wub: I found the stock front shocks don't have enough travel when you build your hi-caps leave the spacers out of them because this needs more shock travel and slightly thicker oil ( but that's probably personal preference)than what's in the kit but definitely leave the spacers out!

Got back from holiday where we’d been running the grasshopper (a recent find from my teenage self 20 years ago) on the beach (even finding a dinosaur foot cast) stripped it and cleaned away the sand.

Worked out why it was cutting out (eventually it gave up - I assumed sand and seawater but found the yellow wire had come loose from the motor) and fixed it (re-resoldered).

Fitted new “urban” rubber.

And made my first post on the forum after a long time watching from the shaddows!

I found this video on YouTube that somebody took at the 2019 Asylum Teapot Races.

It shows most of my run at the course with my M-03 RWD 4WS Morris Minor Teavan. Studying the footage, it is clear where I lost most of my time: knocking over the biscuit skittles, which gives me something to work on for this year. I have a cunning plan... 🤫

Today I came back from a Bachelor-Weekend… so pretty exhausted and nothing RC-related… but some other childish things 🤣

but today I found my MCI-Stickers in my 📫

just need to wait for the second body to arrive 🤩

Love that colour-sheme more than the original one… what you think? White ore silver colour for the body?

and had to stare at my Classic ones…

I finally managed to finish the driver cockpit for the Lancia Delta. Well, except for the roll cage  I will do that in a later stage, along with a few more details like mud flaps and antennas. This is my first complete cockpit set and, although it hasn't been smooth sailing, I'm satisfied with the outcome. And I sure have learned a few things for when it'll come to the next one.

Now it's time to fit it in the car and go for a run

Great colour scheme indeed. I'd say go white for this one 👍

Nice job!   Did you use the factory spur and pinion or are you running the AE 48 pitch?

I need to go back and check what is causing the suspension travel limitation on the rear on my SuperAstute #1.   Not that there is a problem, but my SuperAstute #2 running factory dog bones has more range (droop).   I want to check whether the DT02/Evo CVD's are causing the limiting.  There is some chassis sinking with the battery weight so the car runs fine, but I want a tad more droop when the suspension is extended.

I run 2mm spacers inside the rear high caps so there is plenty of travel; it is not the damper holding things back.

Have fun with your car!!

@Tumbi Car looks great with those black wheels!!  :D

Are those factory white wheels paintable?  Meaning does paint stick well to it?  Some wheels don't like paint even with primer.

Thank you @Willy iine

i see…you really like black 😁 i like it too 🤘🏼
I don‘t think they are paintable…wont stick for long.

I will keep them white with the original Body…

for my Runner I will use the Black ones.

@moffman @Ferruz @SupraChrgd82
I guess the Body will be white too (would love a dark gun-metal…) but between the blue stripes are some small white lines… guess thats better on a white Body 🤓

not sure yet…

Not for a Tamiya... but still RC...

Managed to finally make some progress on fabing up an ESC mount for a HobbyWing Max5.  Took a while to figure out all the mounting holes, then made a styrene "test" version to verify fit.

After everything proved to line up, the final part was made out of 4mm carbon fiber.

@bRIBEGuy Wow, nice work.  In my case, anything that requires brains I wouldn't know where to start, so I would place masking tape over where the holes needs to go, mark them with a Sharpie, and then slap that tape on a random plasticard and drill away, cut away the outside borders..

This is why my designs are wobbly.  Quite a contrast from your precision drawing and template..

Like those hood scoops I made for my City Turbo.. all glued together with hope..
