Looking clean and good!  Lets see, what is „minimalistic“ in your world… guess its much  more than in mine :-)

Single colour paint, white stickers. PROPER minimal 😂

Fixed the brat.

After a week of thrashing it on gravel at Easter I noticed the right front wheel looked - er… wrong?

B867FCB4-0276-413D-A98E-D53E202436CE.jpeg.b7bdf69ca4ca88cc460d27bda0b2aa81.jpeg

Had a proper look today - noticed the bolts holding the steering apparatus in place were all loose so stripped it all down, cleaned it up and reattached it (with some lock tight). Also took the opportunity to strip the rear suspension and pivots to fix the horrible screeching sound (presumably a mix of grease and grit).

Then spent an excellent hour or so burning through a battery pack with a legacy round of RBP.

+1. Nice Brat @Coopz!!

The Brat was my first real RC car back in the early 80’s with 380 kit motor!  :D  Awesome.

Finally!

My first cockpit completed.  No close up photos as I cannot compete with @OoALEJOoO or @Ferruz.  The quality is closer to “good from far, but far from good” 😅.

Also added the ABC Hobby 3mm body line tape.  @Willy iine and @alvinlwh thanks for you help but I chickened out using a black pen.   The body lines makes a big difference on a white body shell.

I was away on a business trip and when coming back in Hong Kong I had mandatory quarantine for 7 days in an isolated hotel.    Made the best use of my time and started on my 2nd Porsche 911 RSR Safari.

Edit: Sorry for the quality of the photos.  Raining outside and wish I could take better ones

I got a couple of coats of paint on my Jumbo Van shell.

52140087056_1242b47a59_b.jpg

It’s pretty flat though so I think I will look to add some gloss coat to it. Also think I will add a white stripe in the middle.

I’ve also ordered some wing mirrors but I think they are going to take ages to arrive. One of the headlights was missing so going to have to fit a replacement at some stage. Will have to to some eBay searching.

I finished building and cutting out the body for my new CC02 D90.

O8CFy39.jpg

Now it's just deciding on a color scheme! Thinking red with black fender flares and a black roof.

The CC02's pleasantly surprised me. It had some goofy steps in the build process but everything is very, very smooth. Comparatively, an SCX10/2/3 feels clunky. Which isn't the result I was expecting. It's also insanely quiet and the drivetrain is like butter.

It's a great little truck! I bought it to run with my buddy's TRX4 D110. They're going to look great together.

GL!  I use Tamiya’s masking tape for curves to prevent bleeding around the radius.   Perhaps your tape is narrow enough to make a nice seal.

I will work on my City’s window trim later today.

Thanks - yes, I use the 2mm tape for all the initial run to create the lines and bends. That gives me the good edge you need. Bit clearer how it started maybe on the right of this pic:-

Then build up with 3mm and then finish it with 10mm.

Absolute pain to do and I hate it, but it sure is rewarding when it's done :)

Oh, ps - yeah there is nothing that beats Tamiya tape in my experience. Both for lack of bleed and in terms of not reacting with any paints we typically use (poly/acrylic etc).

I tried to use decorators masking tape once and learned the hard way that it doesn't play nice with Polyurethane...

Finished! And it didn’t take me more than about five years from the first screw fastened. For once I remembered to mask the windows, now to see if I can get an Avante driver in there.

More good progress in the TT02B parts-build...but first a little backwards step!

I realised I only had a TBLE-02S knocking about, so the 15T Kyosho motor had to go, replaced by a black can Sports Tuned which looks ace

spacer.png

Then, thanks to @Aerobert directing me to the body shell instructions, I was able to get the body and wing cut out, trimmed and sanded ready for paint

I think it's a lovely looking buggy, the best looking of the TT02-B shells IMO

Thanks @GeeWings and @Ferruz.  Feels good to we done… well I noticed the rear was a little bland and added a “Carrera RSR” decal on.

@Ferruz this will be a shelf queen 🤦‍♂️.   I have other bashers which I have put in less effort into as runners.

Hmmmm, think we might have our wires crossed? I had the black deck for this build spare because I bought a blue deck for a TT02-R build. Is that what you’re referring to?

Or….I have been looking for the blue A parts tree (47333) for a Type S build for a couple of years but have now given up and am going to use some blue aluminium gearbox covers by Eagle Racing instead. Is that what you mean?

Or is it something else altogether 😃

I recall in the ads you were looking for a blue deck.  You also mentioned it in your weekend build as well.  Any photos of your TT02-R build? Did not know they come in different colors
