First she said “I want a Holmes Hobbies Revolver 2200kv”.  Now my daughter says she needs an Artful Dodger’s Groundfox chassis.  Not in so many words, but I know what she means…

Had a chance to throw a bit of paint on a Flat 4 VW motor I picked up a while ago. Not sure how I feel about yet, as when I dry fitted it without paint it just didn’t ’feel’ right seeing on the the back of an SRB. Time will tell.

So great when the kids just 'get it'.

When I was struggling with the fit of the standard HH 540 can (too much stress pushing the pinion away from the spur) in my JK Skeleton the other day, my son reminded me that I have a 2500Kv Revolver stashed away for my future SCX10iii build and it may be more suited to his little jeep ;)

Today (and yesterday) I converted the suspension on my TA04-TRF bits-a-build from a lightweight reversible set up back to the 'stock' set up, which means it is now compatible with 26mm Tamiya rims (and therefore better body shell choices) 😀

It took about six hours all told, but it's now ready for an Audi V8 DTM Touring body shell 😊

Today I was at the office again doing my money making gig so did not have time to do any work in my pretend RC shop..

I also had to do some wood working project for my wife's new entertainment system.. she got this huge and super nice Sony TV the other day to upgrade her home theater system along with a nice Panasonic player in her manga library.   My way of returning the favor for the velvet rope she made for me last week.  :D   Tomorrow I will be working on staining the freshly cut wood so probably won't have much time to do any RC again.. but that's okay.

I hate to be that guy... but... your tire tread is backwards...

I got the metal cage installed on the Baja, but life got in the way and that was it for yesterday.

Well yes, two of the wheels were on the wrong corners, but all sorted now. Thanks for the feedback 👍

No time for RC for me today and probably won’t be for a while. Think I will have my hands full with the latest edition to the family! ;)

That looks like a work of art @Juhunio

I especially like the blue spiral wrap.

Electronics always spoil the look of my chassis with their stupid wires and connectors.

Thanks BC 👍

To be honest, I'm not 100% convinced by the blue spiral wrap...agreed, it does look better then lots of different colours and thicknesses of wire all over the place. But it is also a little, well, plasticky!

I still think the braided sleeves are a better solution, but I've had mixed results forcing them over servo connectors and motor leads which tends to make them fray or expand so much it defeats the purpose. This one worked out OK though

Being able to solder would make it all better, but soldering is simply beyond the limits of my innate ham-fistedness 😂

Testing my vintage fox that after all the parts needed to fix it hardly can be called vintage any more with modified rear suspension and 3D printed wheels. The rears I designed on my own. The fronts I used a design from Thingiverse. Absolutely great fun to drive this guy... Is doing wheelies with the Graupner RX 540 BB VZ on grass. Thought this might become a shelf Queen after restoration, but it's almost too much fun to shelf it.

Final update for today..  I’m real happy how it turned out.  Special thanks to @bRIBEGuy for the idea and also very special thanks to @nicherotors for his superior designs… I hope my version doesn’t  ruin his day.   lol

This is great - nothing you do could ruin my day - quite the opposite sir - loving how you are able to fabricate and paint these parts so quickly.

… and any project with a NOS bottle inside gets my vote! :D

Thanks, that means a lot to me coming from you.  :D    I'm going to try making a seat back for my SandScorcher as well over the weekend.   A bit tight in there so it might be a little tricky.  Yes, NOS bottles are awesome!

I have not been able to touch anything RC today.. was busy working on my wife's entertainment center (shelf) also fixed the exterior of my house where my lawn mowing contractor accidentally broke a corner trim piece on the siding yesterday, also wired up a new subwoofer in my piano lounge to accommodate a hand-me-down big screen TV from my wife, then meetings after meetings on the money making gig at home (WFH).

I have to do one more pm house chore, but after that I think I'm going to make the comical Frog and GH poster frames.. unless I fall asleep.  :D

Working on a custom windshield banner decal. This is a mockup on inkjet paper.

Will be trimming it a little more narrow.  But I like it.  Looking for a tow hook for the front bumper.

Anyone know if black fine pine stripe tape or decal exists?   I'd like to run a black pin stripe down the sides of the car like the box art.

58025 • Tamiya VW Golf Racing Group 2 (CS) • (Radio Controlled Model Archive) • RCScrapyard.

I've searched but not found any good candidates.
