Yesterday I went to Highball Cars and Coffee (a fantastic car meet in Melbourne) - I got there nice and early, because by 9.20 I was on my way to the Glasgow Rd Fire Break Trail on Mt Dandenong. Local RC crawler group meet ups are an excellent way to compare the capability of your vehicle against its peers.

My legs still hurt today! (that's coming from someone that regularly does 20,000+ steps in a day with no ill effects)

I then ran the Team Associated B5, and then the Konghead G601 later in the day, when my legs were feeling a bit better!

Looks and sounds like a fantastic day out, L! I get sore legs if I stand a lot. Speaking of, yesterday I took my 1:1 truck to a (very wet) car meet here in an underground car park building, was pretty cool to see lots of awesome Americana, a couple of nice Holden's, and even some old English stuff, courtesy of the Vauxhall club.

Then later (because it was still persisting down) I decided to cut out the new wing for my DT03. Will probably continue the blue and white theme, not sure yet..  but I've never really liked clear wings on buggies....

OK, made it to the flight this time.

Have a good (but long) flight those A380s are just amazing to fly in! Incidentally I have the privilege of being on the last commercial flight of this beautiful lady back in the horrible days of BA retiring their 747s:( we were told by the captain at the beginning of the flight and you wouldn't think it would emotionally do anything but it was really odd in a very sad way the crew were obviously moved and it is something that will stay with me:(!

BA had changed their kangaroo route to 787 from A380 which annoys me greatly.

@berman I like that real simple, yet effective theme!  Sometimes less says so much more.  Nice.

For me, taking it easy today as I have pretty much completed all open RC projects for the time being.  I think am going to test the electronics I got for the 420X later today.

I am finally taking my summer vacation later in the week (my son called it my 'Indian Summer vacation' since it is so late and suppose to warm up a little before weather takes a temperature dive this week )..

I finished all remaining winter prep on the house and lawn over the weekend (at least the portion I am responsible for hands-on, rest my lawn contractor does the fall cleanup on the landscaping).. other items left are oil changes on my snow thrower, house generator, portable Honda generator, my 1:1 Forester, and brake fluid change on my 1:1 WRX.  I'll be working on that first half of my vacation.

Then open up my Optima MID and start building the latter half.  :D

Update.. I unboxed the electronics so will bench solder the leads to fire it up later today.   Unfortunately I had not charged the battery for my 4PKS-R, so will run off my Spektrum radio for this test.  I may just end up running the 420X off my Spektrum receiver as I can’t find any more of these FASST receivers for my Futaba online.  I should save the one in the picture for my XM1 Competition since my other m-chassis run off the 4PKS-R..

Update.. soldered and bench tested.   Passed.  :D   Everything works as it should.  Will desolder and place back into boxes until time to build the 420X.

Had an unusual day off work today and no "dad can come around and fix !!!!!" Or "dad a light has just appeared on my dashboard of my car" (likelihood said light has been on for months) or oh you got the day off maybe you can make a start on !!!!!!! So it was just me and my rc so I binded/bowned? Whatever the terminology is my flysky noble nb4 to my two go to rc buggies super avante and schumacher cougar classic and what a difference in now much finer adjustments I can make to these buggies which make them so much more responsive I'm well impressed:D

Just personal preference, plus I feel the Neo Fighter body looks exceptionally long, so a big azz wing on the back will take some of the shine off it. Great pics too! 🙂

there is a French blue and white Sand Scorcher vibe going…

Wow, honestly did not see that! That's a good idea, if only I had some 506 decals laying around! This buggy is an XB, (hence the pogos and Tamiya servo) so was factory painted. Not sure if its French or Light Blue, but hopefully have both in my stash. Cheers for ideas!

Thank you! May put something on it, just not sure yet, but never been a huge fan of too many decals. 🙂

Sold and packed my Mad Fighter. And also sold four old bodies which were laying around and which I don't need anymore.

Started the build of my TT-02 rallye car. Currently figuring out where and how much to cut for more ground clearance.

I have a spare decal set from my sand scorcher as I did not follow box art. Can you check dimensions on the MCI racing website to see if it will fit your body?  I have concerns your Neo body is too slim for the decals.

I can give them to you for free if they fit

Orig '85 buggy with a 550 MRP motor, vintage rear bars+axle retainer device, and Turbo Blaster rear tires mounted on RR wheels. Many thanks to @SuperChamp82 for the nice vtg ESC I'm cheating with in here ;) :D

After a 14 hours delay, for a total over over 36 hours, finally arrived.

In Sydney? I hope the weather's nice for you. Also, I can give you a cheeky 'secret' spot for sunset at Circular Quay. Go to the Squires Landing (have a quick beer or 2) then go to the elevator and go to the third floor, from there you go up some stairs to a lookout which even my friend (who has lived in Sydney for 10+ years) didn't know about for a lovely, unobstructed view of the opera house, bridge etc.

A trip down memory Lane using some Chippy tools ripping a Beech worktop down the middle and biscuit jointing as a start to some additional nicer shelving for the hobby space 😁

No, Singapore. Normal door to door time for me is 24h but due to late connection and "technical issues", it took me 36h this time.

That’s a bit savage. Were the kids ok with it?
