Next is to spray the lexan body off my TT-01e Subaru. That chassis is very low (to low for Rally Cars) so i got no where close to run it, it needs very fine gravel or nice and even Tarmac, but i now have a Rc Bag so i will pack it down and find a nice place for it

Even on a regular street some of these touring cars can get tossed around a bit, it's partly why I prefer to just "streetify" my buggys or run an SCT instead.

I took out the RC10 to try the new vintage Reedy motor (17T, 30000RPM?). Very impressed! It's another level compared to before, and the car does well with the extra power since it's not exactly a featherweight to begin with. I'm afraid the temperatures will get close to fusion in the Summer, but for now I've enjoyed driving it immemsely B)

That thing looks awesome. Kind of like it dares you to pick a fight with it. A challenge from which like any normal human I would run whimpering into a corner.

No RC stuff for me for a couple of weeks. We're on holiday. Hiking with my son somewhere lovely today he piped up with "Dad, we should get more radio controlled cars."

"Oh, right, OK" says I. "Do you like the building or the driving more?"

He rolled his eyes, "the building. You can't just buy one and drive it. You have to earn it."

I might have to get him his own account on oldmantamiyaclub.com.

I bought the multiple boxes of my stalled vintage Sand Scorcher project downstairs ready to reassemble to sell.

My wife’s away for 10 days, so there are a lot less ‘Honey Do’s’ 😂

If you keep selling stuff you won’t have any left!!!!

There’s still a few to go - I’ll get most of it sold, keep a couple for the shelves and then have a couple of runners, one for the garden and a car park basher.

Still here boxed up -

Sand Scorcher (vintage)

Sand Scorcher (Re-Re)

SWB M38 Wild Willy

Super Champ

Ford Ranger

Hilux - 3 speed

Blazing Blazer

Lunchbox 😂

As much as I’d like to have the time to Tamiya, it just doesn’t fit in with everyone else’s needs 😉

I messed up the Terra Scorcher yesterday. I have been annoyed about that the servo does not return to senter. Beeing a kids car with basic radiogear I do not have too high expectations, but I wanted to adress this. I wanted to try my vintage Sanwa Contest to see if a stronger servo would fix it. I forgot that I have pinned it back to how it was originally, so I got magic smoke from the receiver:(. Luckily enough it turns out that the receiver survived, but the TBLE02S did not. It's probably the BEC. I have tried my spare Flysky GT-2 and I only get beeping. With a spare TBLE both radiogear is working, so then I need to solder on a Deans connector to the spare TBLE and all is fine again.

The final solution is a 1060 and a metal gear servo though. A good oportunity to change the full size servo in the XV-01 for a low profile and get more space there. I'm lucky that the Carson reflex receiver made it. This is hopeless to get separate here in Norway (I bought it from Tamico).

What’s a Blazer worth these days?

I’d have to check tbh, I hope it’s in the region of £1200+ as it’s undamaged and comes with the radio gear & battery.

Some 700km away from home I found myself in a GREAT hobby shop called Express Hobbies in Saskatoon, and picked up a couple small things:

Wow I’d love one but too rich for my budget!!😢

Glued the last bits in place on the Jugger's pickup bed.

Bed, tailgate, front and rear bumper are now ready for paint.

Hopefully I can visit the LHS this weekend for some white primer, masking tape and milliput.

Wow, love that Monster Truck - is it 1/64?

I have a huge 1/64 scale collection and I don't have any monster trucks. I need to do some Googling!

Do NOT google Greenlight Kings of Crunch.  You have been warned.  ;)

Yes, 1/64.

It's too late for me; I fell victim to the world of 1/64 during my R/C sabbatical in 2020 before returning this year.

I aimed to collect my 'dream garage' almost like a Gran Turismo garage. Below is about half of my collection; and my wife won't let me get another cabinet :(

 Racing cars on top:

And today I took a little delivery from the postman. I have no idea where I'm going to put these!

For me, besides taking the Golf-R for its emissions testing and passing, I installed turnbuckles on my Optima this morning..

Then installed the 25 teeth pinion on my XV02-Pro.   Car finally drives the way it should with plenty of quickness.  :D

This looks interesting. What material will you be using?

the target is a flex bi-component resin with a 50A shore hardness... It comes white, and I'll include some colorant in the mix. My prototype needs some rework, however : my new printer is much more accurate than the one I was using before (in addition to be very much faster), and it results I need to review the injector...

Ended up doing quite a bit today:

1. Installed the rear brace for my Frog, easy peazy. Should be solid enough for a sport tuned motor.

2. Did some maintenance on the Grave Digger Monster Beetle only to discover that the motor adapter had cracked at some point (though it still holds well), the antenna holder had snapped off, and my run was cut short when the admittedly very old servo saver broke.

Brilliant!

So will they be for display or fit for running? I’m asking as I picked-up a Marui Land Cruiser a few weeks ago and have just about everything I need except tyres! The chance of finding a full set seems unlikely. I hadn’t really thought of going self production route.

Head over to my Marui threads... My target is not shelf queens. I need my cars to run...

And by the way...

Treated myself to a new radio today. The pots on my 4PX that I’ve had since 2014 are starting to act up so it was time for an upgrade
