Had my first try with Milliput to delete the vents / wiperwells and hood trench on the Jugger's body.

Is Milliput always such a thick pasty material to work with or is my batch somewhat old? Shaping it was not easy but the result after sanding was great.

And I ran my XV-01 which is now lower on 50mm shocks. These wheels have a shade more offset than stock and the body sits low because it was positioned on rally suspension.. I think it looks great like that though. They just clear the shell...

Great stance on the Lancia. What wheels are these? The look good.

I think the offset suits the Lancia but not the style or the colour particularly. I was thinking I would space out my kit ones to a similar stance if my axles are long enough. Although for practical running they should perhaps be better a mm or so narrower than this.

The wheels are mini lites from JC racing. I bought them to go with my Escort shell but also just as runners because they're very cheap. They come in many colours and are I think about £3-4 a set.

For me, took my Scorpion for a quick test drive outside.  I think for this car the LeMans 19.5 BL might be the sweet spot as it's not crazy  fast, runs efficiently*, and controllably.  Anything faster might overwhelm the dynamics of the car specially on smoother surfaces.

*I timed myself to drive spiritedly for 5 min.. a mix of on and off road, but mostly off road. everything ran cool, battery consumption ~800mAh.   So I will run max 10 min per 3000mAh NiMH I bought off my kid last week.  :D

Its always a bit thick and pasty, especially if your hands are wet. I've had decent luck with regular and black, white Milliputs not that great imo.

As for what I did, I did some more work on my M05 and took this for a spin. As fun as this Monster Beetle is its been a bother to keep it going, no transmission issues, just lots of screws being spit out of the old plastic.

Today I finished my Stadium Blitzer rebuild.

This was a buddy's in the early 90s. He said he built it, ran it a few times, chased his bulldog around with it and then threw it in a closet where it was until about 3 months ago when he dug it out and said he was just going to toss it out. I told him he was crazy and that I'd take it.

This is what it looked like then.

And after a lot of cleaning and replacing some parts that were beyond saving, as well as a new body from Bluegroove and decals from MCI.

I'm happy with the results!

I’ve been out of RC’ing for a bit, but being at home unexpectedly recovering from influenza A and putting my back out coughing while unpacking the dishwasher 🙄 meant I could make a start on refreshing my Javelin with a Red cage.

Its a great way of a kind of new kit feeling without a whole new kit price tag.

It seems that I did something wrong with suspension setup...

Not necessarily.. depends on where and how you drive too.  What are your camber and toe angles?

I sprayed the Juggers pickup bed last weekend, but needed to sand it again as it picked up a lot of dust during spraying....

Put the finishing touches and sanding on the cabin.

Gave them both a bath to get rid of dirt, and they are now sitting on a heater to dry up. Give them both a spray of Tamiya white primer later today.

Have I mentioned before I really don't like painting because it is so much work, especially on a hard shell...? <_<

If I have some time this evening, I'll replace the used/stripped and rough looking Tamiya screws in the chassis for something a bit more appealing.

It is somewhere between 0 and 45 degrees 🤣 I set it up by eye.

It is nearly impossible to paint glossy finishes (body size) in the winter for me as air inside the house is so dry, static everywhere attracting dust.   I can manage small things like garage accessories and driver helmets.   Matte finish is okay as I can spray from afar intentionally enabling dust to easily come off after the paint dries.

GL with the rest of the body work.  B)

For me, drove my Scorpion again outside after my 1:1 drive in my Golf-R.  Both drives were quite entertaining, relaxing/calming, and enjoyable.  :D  A perfect Saturday morning for me.

.. and did not help making this car in a theme I ended up loving, I ordered another Scorpion to display in my pretend RC shop with the same livery.. lol

Stickers on the Porsche GT2 TA02SW - despite there being less than the Supra they werent any easier. Made a couple of errors in fitting which reulted in some small crinkles around the arches unfortunately.

Thankfully, I was still doing the primer layers when things went south, so the 'damage' is minimal.

Pickup bed and cabin now each had 2 layers of primer white. This revealed some very minor finishing imperfactions that I need to adress, but overall it's 98% good. Happy with that.

Guess I'm just a little rusty when it comes to painting, the last car was some years ago.

Everyone’s out, so I grabbed an hour for myself to play.

Just a little tinkering with the Lunchbox, adjusted the steering rods, set up the T/X trims and named the r/x.

Should be just a simple case of running it now - I also got to use my digital calliper properly for the 1st time too 😂

@Ministrone Great job on the Beetle!  I love the look.  B)

Coincidentally, I'm building another Beetle next.   Mine will just be a boring solid color.. I just do not enjoy painting polycarbonate bodies for some reason.

I think it's good to also have an alignment tool and metal alignment wheels.  At the end the goal is to align the camber and toe angles (given fixed caster) regardless of what the lengths are on the turnbuckle rods.
