No it wasn't stock, high torque servos and twin 55 turn motors and the front steering behind the axle. It needed a radio and ESC but the tires were upgraded on it. I didn't think anybody on here would be interested. There's a brat, frog, ultima, M05 and hornets up to leave as well,...so far.

Ultima Details please?

Just drilled my new BF3 body to fit my King Blackfoot chassis. Was a heart stopping moment but it turned out perfect. Can't wait for the original Blackfoot graphics to arrive now!!

Looking good . going to fill the original holes ?

Most certainly, this thing is riddled with unused holes now!

Am gonna get some stick on black vinyl effect film to go on the tail bed too so it looks more like a real tonneau cover.

What's the best way to fill the holes? I'm thinking I need to glue some plastic underneath and then fill with Milliput from above and sand it back flush. That sound right?

There are a few ways but i'd say that's about the best one . Others may say use styrene inserts ect ect but to me that's a lot of extra work for the same result. I've even taped the underside and used rapid set epoxy with good results .

I gotta know, is that classic heat sink just for show? I do kinda miss them. Don't miss burning myself, but that classic look...

Yep it's just for show as its running an ESC. I remember reading on here a while ago another member (can't recall who) saying they always leave the heat sinks on for looks and I like the sentiment so have adopted it on my models too.

The drilling looks great, SteveU30!

Today I finally hauled out my GT-One from storage and got to work:

My Striker got some attention too:

I had enough time after to give the on-road car a good run in a nice open parking lot:

The car is about as fast as I remember it, and just as responsive despite a standard servo in place. With a refreshed motor, it simply flew - and so quietly, too, up until I opened up the throttle...

Been fitting LEDs to my Dingo Land Rover build. The 10mm jobs are wired up and working well, the four 5mm ones I was intending to work in parallel with them arnt so I'll need to check my connections or it maybe a dud LED... more likely my iffy soldering :(

The rear LEDs were sanded flat and then polished with autosol to clean them up, looks pretty effective to me.

Got my Willy out and ran up and down the street outside my house.

Neighbours pretty relaxed with that sort of carry on, or do you live in a commune of sorts?

Oh yes - I read that quote and could barely believe it! It made my day, for sure...

Yesterday, I ran all four of my currently-running cars, losing one in the process to electronic failure (my Avante :( ), and getting all of them nice and dirty! Fortunately, I spent a lot of time getting them nice and clean:

Before, with my Buggy Champ and Striker:

And after, with the same two buggies:

With some care, I was able to use a garden hose for both.

Today, I ran my Striker and Buggy Champ during the day, going through two packs each. Obviously loads of fun!

I pulled the LIPOs out of the 956s and the F103. I got a few ready to go into long term storage so mostly clean up and sorting. The weather is starting to warm up and I got the F201 checked out and charged up so tomorrow I'll take it for a spin. I need a couple speed packs for the Porsches before they get run again, With summer finally here and school out I can finally start running the speed cars again. It's been a long winter.

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering this, did you 'lose' the car entirely? If so, care to elaborate?

Ran my DT-01 against my son's DT-02 in the back garden, which is big enough for a decent circuit:

"Right, let's go round the outside of those trees, round the wash basket (had hung out the washing earlier) over the jump (old wooden shelf propped up on a 24-pack of bottled water) round the bird feeder and round the whirly gig (washing line)"

His was faster than mine in a straight line but mine was better in the corners. Nip and tuck racing. Great fun.

Well, the thing is essentially dead. But physically, I still have the chassis and it looks like all the components are there. I ran it in a damp setting, but all electronics were completely waterproofed, including the receiver. I suspect receiver failure anyways since it was the only electronic item not factory waterproofed (I have an MTroniks ESC and a Traxxas blue servo), and it was not even glitching.

It was a busy weekend for me since I run at a schoolyard, so there are kids there every weekday.

A little more on my King Hauler, just waiting for my exhaust stacks and drop visor to come back from chroming. Oh and the mirrors are getting changed, just got to get some made in aluminium so they can be polished.
