I finished polishing the black Lunchbox shell and put it back on the LB chassis (I can't stop looking at it, I really like this version of the LB)

I usually have a gold 'runner body' on the LB, I touched up the scratches on this body with x12 last week and got some nylon washers from aliexpress to protect the bodymount holes.

Also, I ended up buying a Midnight Pumpkin kit - the metallic version,  it included a ESC and needs no painting and was about the same price as a grasshopper, these seem to be very good value for a Tamiya kit.

I just worked on my "Texas Rustbucket" a bit and proceeded to do a few jumps.

Added 3D printed rear shock mounts to my grasshopper.  Last week I mounted wider 3D printed front arms and caster blocks on the front, and used Kyosho Tomahawk dampers (I've upgraded the dampers on that car to the larger bore Turbo Scorpion dampers).  Up front, I flipped the shocks upside-down and bonded a plastic nut onto the top of each of the front shock towers.  In the rear, despite using front shock springs on the oil dampers, the suspension was still too stiff.  I inverted the rear shocks to get more clearance and I went with the 3D lower shock mount adapters to allow for more damper leverage against the gearbox mounting point.  Unexpectedly, the dampers have nearly the same rake as the rear of the roll cage and the car sits lower.  I really like the look.

Cashing in on my honey-do brownie points, my wife said she would buy me a new RC car if that is what I want.:D

I searched for all kinds of cars recently and I still could not find a car I connected more than Kogawa-san's classic legendary series cars..  so decided to get a Beetle again, #5.   This one will run the usual 1251MG, but will run the LeMans 19.5BL and XR10 instead of the G14L.  Going to try a pastel green color.. I forgot the name of the paint, but it is Tamiya's PS paint.  B)

Being in the U.S., where are you finding the re-re Kyosho kits? All of the main vendors are out of stock, as well as Kyosho America.

That's the one!  :D  Yeah, I was thinking I might be able to use the factory decals, but will check out the Valliant colors as well!

MF01X D90.

Just a mock up at the moment, but could work nicely. Exploring tire options.

3D printed a missing crossmember at the front of the Jugger.

With that done, I can take the black ABS plastic spool out of the printer and put in a red PLA plastic one, for other small parts.

Was hoping to take my GR Supra out for a nice weekend drive, but weather had not cooperated so decided to charge my batteries and took my Scorpion and Beetle out for a quick spin in front of my house.  :D

Now heading to my pretend RC shop to cut another Beetle body for Beetle #4..

Gardening this weekend, my most hated chore, so I didn’t get a lot done except finish painting the Lancia. Now to put off doing the stickers out of sheer fear for a couple of weeks.

@Nick-W I too hate gardening and land scaping work.  My pops believed in child labor  and had me working from early am to dusk in the summer time with crappy tips as pay.  I honestly worked so hard like a slave, I saw plants and land scaping bricks in my dreams.  So I decided early on in my adult life I would NEVER do any routine landscaping work ever again as I already did my entire life's full of that kind of work.

I own a single family home and do not own a lawn mower, trimming gear.. at all.  I have my trusty landscape contractor do everything.  My landscaping looks professionally done all the time and I like that.  Down side is my two teen boys do not know how to mow the lawn... as men that is total fail in my generations, but luckily they are in the younger softy non-binary full of all sorts of options generation so it appears it is okay to let their future wives mow the lawn.        My sons can buy their wives RC cars when the wives cash in on their honey-do points.  lol

For me, got some paint on the spare body for Beetle #4.  Spare body sets do not come pre-cut so it took me a bit longer to prep, but not bad at all.  Will be doing the SandScorcher side mirrors as usual.  I ordered more yesterday actually.

Fitted some new tires on the Stadium Blitzer. Not much grip left in the old ones...

The body has seen better days, but this car is quickly becoming the 6yo's first choice.
