I have no complaints for cc-02 except for drive shafts… i knew about it, but looking at it in person just confirms how fragile looking drive shafts are… those are not even reinforced version.
carbon steel hopup looks so much better except the price (x2).

Typical tamiya, but i really like the car though

Learned about buyee.. and not sure if that is a good thing or not haha

If my zenmarket experience is anything to go by then yes and no.

Yes, because you find stuff you thought was no longer available. No, for obvious reasons $$$

Just finished getting the Bushy D ready for a weekend trip to the beach!

So my beach driving wasn’t as awesome as last year.  There was a big storm the week before our trip and a lot of sand got washed out.  High tide was also a factor during the day, as was crowd size.

I finally got an hour or so of drive time in after dinner on Saturday.  I overheated a couple of times and then I lost steering.  I could turn right but not left. Whats that all about then Mate?!?

I got back to our house to do a clean up.  And as I was flipping the car around, a seashell came out from under the servo cover (Blackfoot).  Apparently it was jamming up the servo bc it steered fine after I pulled the seashell out!  Hilarious…

My wife got a video. I’ll try to post.

I got to play "Traxxxas Bro" with my nephews' fleet, flying a Formula 1 off a ramp over a monster truck 😅

We had a lunch for one of the kids' bday, and after fixing up their RCs once again, I decided to give that nice Williams some good action. The steering barely works, so we had to get creative...

Sadly, the only spectators really stoked about the stunts were the little one and uncle Ferruz himself, the others being half caught up on their screens.

It was fun and no worries, no toy grade RC car was harmed during the performance 😄

Toy grade or not, that's a convincing little F1 there!

@Pylon80 I agree! I would like to fix it properly and maybe even modify it a bit someday.

So over the weekend my wife helped me mold a Kyosho Beetle driver body.. I probably bought the last driver set available on the internet (pictured below) as there is no one I could find selling these at the moment.

I was hoping to try some UV resin yesterday to trial one only for the skys to get cloudy and rain so maybe this afternoon if the sun is out I can do a couple layers of resin and see how it turns out.  I did not want to just make a plaster or clay cast of this thing as it can become pretty heavy... I am hoping the UV resin version can be made pretty thin to maintain similar weight as the factory polycarbonate one.

The helmet can still be sourced as it's pretty much the same as the Tomahawk, Scorpion, Optima, etc.

Wish me hope please..

I have been running my new to me M-05 every day over the past week or so, as I am inching in on the set-up. It's been a humbling experience and the most fun I have had driving in a very long time. Making the hard Racing Slick compound work on dusty surfaces is not easy, but after about 2h of run time I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I will have to wait a few month before the temperature allows me to paint the body, so I have been shamelessly running it bare naked!

The CR12 took its first trip out. Proper fun little car, had more fun driving an RC than in ages.

I wish more of these 1/12 scale things were available, perfect for throwing in a rucksack and taking to the park.

@Sogogi Nice buggy!   I've been wanting the Mp9 Mini-Z as well.  :D   Car just looks so cool.

Oh yes i do like the mini z. I initially bought MB010VE and got the pre prepainted body separately.

Oh wow, you have the brushless buggy setup.  Very cool.   I was thinking about just getting the ready set as the FHSS version is not compatible with my 7PX-R, I don't think..   And perhaps get a tad faster brushed motor for it. B)

For me, I posted my latest pretendRCshop photos on IG, please check them out if interested.   #pretendRCshop

The main updates are the new logo/signage, and also allowing more space.   Yes, space between models, space between displays, etc makes it more impactful, so gave a lot more space.  I quickly realized I only have 2 more spots open for 1:10 size RC cars in the pretendRCshop, so I better make my decisions very carefully and seriously... jk.

I still have the F104 Pro2 to build and display, so that is on the Tamiya side.   I plan to maybe get the other Fantom (the version before the yellow EXT I already have) for the Kyosho side, unless I get another Tomahawk and build it in blue livery.  B)

For now, I need to head to the office for my money making gig.     I really hate meeting with people that share no interest in RC or cars or music instruments or anything I like to talk about..  it's all surface chit chat BS unless talking about work.  boring..

@GeeWings that's very kind. It's been a mission working at this scale, so fiddly. I have the utmost respect for modelling at this size it's mental.

Its called easy click, it's not though.

Still not done and I've been at it for ages!

For me, I spent too much time and energy at my money making gig at the office today, so decided to just take snaps of my HotShot and posted them up on IG.   Please check them out if interested.   I found that the box art car looks more interesting on checkered flooring.  :D

1/24 scale? Nice detailing, that's looking great!

For me, mostly just WFH and driving my Mini-Z between calls and meetings and emails.  :D    Pretty stressful day can turn into a fun RC day any day, so hybrid work style is good.

Didn't have much time to do any real RC stuff, so decided to post pictures of my Avante on IG.   I'm not sure if the grayish flooring was the right choice, but looks okay..  the checked flooring did not look good with the blue/yellow/gold-ish scheme so decided not to use it this time.
