These are truly amazing. Love them! 

They’re all awesome but 6 wheels are always better than 4 ( tight teapot racing courses being the exception!!!)

Just a silver can on Nimh or 2S Lipo? I run the same, with the high speed gear set smallest spur from 3Racing and the largest pinion possible, no heatsink or aluminium motor mount yet. The motor gets hot but nothing that I would consider problematic and that's after three or four succesive 5 minutes stints for postal racing...

Sport Tuned motor, I think it's the diff locker making it run hotter.

Today I took the Egress out for its first run. It was surprisingly quick, perhaps too quick on the BZ for the sort of running it’ll see. The turn in under braking was dart like. I loved it. And oh boy, it looked good!

6 wheels work well enough when 4 of them are steering. There were 2 6-wheelers with 4WS in the competition, and both achieved podiums on at least 1 day of racing.

4 wheels with 4WS won the championship overall though, with a 6-wheeler in second and a tracked vehicle in 3rd. 🙂

Knew you'd get there before me @Willy iine. I put mine up in the loft the other day as I'm going back to my 'money making gig' tomorrow .

In other news, plans (including budget) are agreed to tear down our 1950s pre-fab garage and replace with a hobby / storage unit. I have wanted to do this for yeeeeeaaaars.

All we need now is to book in the contractors, subject to their availability. Oh, and empty the garage into a storage unit for the transition.

Only potential downside is that I might have to slim down my fleet so it fits in the new unit.

I have been tinkering with my TT-02 rally again in anticipation for the fall/winter more manageable temperatures for brushed motors. I have also seen @Kowalski86 's posts about entering the Postal Racing with his, which motivated me to work on it again and run it this winter

Today I worked on moving the CG to the 55% front / 45% rear range to improve the handling. One of the things I am doing is using a shorty pack pushed all the way forward. The other one is installing the ESC inside the front bumper! So a bit of an usual configuration but something I am quite excited about. I hope to finish the soldering tonight; in the meantime here is the simple stopper I installed to keep the shorty pack from sliding back.

I am quite happy with how simple and clean it looks.

Yea I plan on changing it out for the stock gear diff. The locker makes it understeer a bit much for my liking.

Yes, the drive is fairly realistic compared to 1:10, and something I wanted to try to emulate even further with this build.  Suspension is much softer and higher than stock, allowing for much more body roll, and a fairly scale looking vehicle under motion.  Braking distance is the biggest thing you need to get used to... a 40lb car takes a lot of room to stop and can slide a loooong way if you loose control!

Its for the Ford Escort MKll i have been showing off recently on the forum (im quite pleased with the result with that one). My plan was to put in my first brushless setup 10.5 tbl but i learned this would probably be a bit to much for m-chassi to handle so i will use a SuperStock BZ or a Torque tuned instead. 
 

Brushless setup will be my for my future build, that BBX is growing on me

Today I finished off my final builds for a while. I've got a brushless motor to install on my CR12 when it arrives off the slow boat from china, but I am pretty much done for now. Phew. 

First up is my MF01X. This is with an FJ45 body from Mn models and a 205 mm wheelbase. It's done in a trophy truck style. 21T motor for speed. TL01 arms give much more suspension.

82 mm tires give a pretty good ground clearance and speed. I expect the suspension is too soft, so I will experiment. Hoping this will work well on the dust/dirt parking lot on my park and the BMX track perhaps. Camber looks more extreme in photos but may bring down.

Next up is my GF01. I played around with it as a crawler but went back to 115mm LB tires. I used 5 mm hex to bring the tires in from stock. Body is a taiyo. Similar dims to a WW2 but 4x4.

Lastly is my trusty QD. This was the first tamiya I ever bought. It was a beat up Pumkin QD. Brushless motor, wider stance, new wheels an a MN FJ45 body have changed it a little! Added wheelie bar helps tame the extra power. Really happy with how this looks now.

It runs super quiet but has a real kick with the tiny 2030 motor. Running 9.6 volt AA old school, but that's more than enough. 

Not gonna to make anything new for a while but will continue to tinker and upgrade what I have, at least till christmas!

I finished the MB01 chassis.  While I need to modify the steering full lock stops to allow more steering angle, the car drives phenomenally well!  Probably fine for those driving in large space   

The rear toe is adjustable and was quite sloppy left to right.   I just eyeballed the toe in with hope and car tracks straight.  

I’m actually pretty impressed how stable the car is.  I am running full bearings and super mini CVA’s. Single hole piston front, two hole piston rear. Factory ride height.
