@lsear2905that is a great looking bunch of Kumamon's and their fleet! Lovely stuff. Really gutted I didn't get hold of a tractor before the prices went silly.

As for the image error, on another forum I use we have had users with the same issue. For some it has been solved by resaving the images. For others it is by using the "choose files" option rather than drag and drop. Hope that helps?!

I just set up two metal ammo boxes for battery storage - I removed the lid gaskets, cut the ends off and reinstalled only the ends. This gives the hinge and clamp end some closing tension, and the sides are left open to vent.

Good idea!

For me, got most of the decals done today on my Abarth.  I think it turned out nice.  Photos uploaded in my Stories on instagram if anyone is interested.  #pretendRCshop

The body itself is pretty straight forward to do, just need to really watch out for the super thin polycarbonate in the engine compartment area.. I accidentally crushed mine (both corners) a few times just handling the body.  I am sure the hinge pieces will cover it up nicely with hope.. so I'm not worried. .

I will do the brush painting tomorrow (engine compartment) and see if I can finish the body over the holiday weekend.  :D

Awesome bear collection @lsear2905! Never thought I'd say that on an RC forum, but here we are. Cherish those, their value is only going one way...

Unfortunately I couldn't fit this one in my suitcase!

I had some time to kill today, so while waiting I ran the TS at a new location.

That Abarth body is looking very nice stickered up @Willy iine. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

For me, project new RC and hobby home is progressing. Yesterday, had someone assess removal of the new existing garage with its asbo roof. Should get a quote for a new base today. Fingers crossed for contractor availability as that is the key factor at present. Oh, and the project comes is under budget!

Might be moving the RCs into storage tomorrow!

Ordered yet another different set of wheels for my BB01. I like the ProLine ones but they're a tad too big / off scale. I'm probably £150-in to wheel and tyre combos now. Someone please send help.

I also ordered an RTR crawler from another manufacturer. I know right, terrible. I can't really afford it either, so plan to buy it and hide it until Christmas.

"Oh this? Had it aaages, it's definitely not another new RC car"

I think its to take it to far to demand that the customer fix Tamiya M-07 hop-up mold 54811 so it fits M08R, but they do an luck has it that i both have a fancy pantsy dremel 4000 with plastic cutter & sanding piece, so i think it looks pretty much like it was never there, so in the end it was fun to put my tools to work (not so much if i did not have it because this is reinforced hop-up plastic)

Thanks @Badcrumble   I’m going to work on it some more in a bit.

I should be getting my Miata body later today, so will see if I can make it fit the MB01 soon.   I’m determined to make that chassis run with a properly fitting RWD car body.

Started packing up the toys ready for garage demolition.

Started to strip the head of a screw on the rear body post of the M05-RA but managed to get it out. The car is incredibly dirty, as are most of my chassis. I think a strip down and rebuild will be in order once we are up and running in the new gaff.

With regard to the new RC home, the quote for asbestos removal came in at pretty much double what I was hoping for but it has to be done. On a more positive note, Mrs BC reckons we can widen the new building by 12 inches which will give us quite a bit more useable space.

I believe you will have to extend the chassis to 225mm to fit the Miata? At least my one is 225!!

Spent a good half hour oozing over a future project… ( why do we start so many and plan so far ahead? 😂

Needless to say a bucketlist build for me. Childhood dreams, technology meets nostalgia meets rc.

Got inspired by this new wheel release 😃

Great day. No breakages. Other than me! My girlfriend accidently reversed into my leg with the X Maxx, knocked me over, Banged and cut my face on thr floor. At least that repair wont cost me any money.

Started building my birthday present - the Mercedes C11:

Not a fan of the weak and sloppy Grasshopper-esque steering, so I fitted a few upgrades including a metal-geared servo, high torque servo saver, carbon reinforced uprights, titanium turnbuckles and 5mm adjusters with steel balls.

A slight deviation from the manual was needed to get the connectors to clear the servo saver, but it all fits and works superbly, feeling more like an F104 Pro II than a Grasshopper.

Turnip - have you got a link to the turn buckles you used? Because of the offset servo ive struggled to find Tamiya ones that fitted before.

Are you suggesting we all build RWD MX5s @technics? Unfortunately, that's one shell I don't have :(

I really should rectify that one day but not right now - they are all going in storage or the loft until they get a new home.

More progress on my birthday C11, which received its motor pod this evening:

2023-09-02_09-51-16

Alloy F104 height adjustable motor mount and side plate with fibre reinforced F104 front and rear motor pod plastics, mounted to an F103 T-bar to give me the offset I need to run the F104 Pro alloy diff, to be added soon.

Would the F104 aluminum motor mount fit without any other change (except I suppose a spacer slipped over the shaft on the left side)? Or do you need all the other bits your mentioned as well?

Took the "Wild Attack One" off-road for a bit, it understeer quite a bit in the dirt, but otherwise it just sails over rocks and bumps without much fuss. I just wish that these were cheaper (or at least re-release the FAV) so that more people could give them a go.

Can I just ask what body is that and does the standard body cadge fit on it?

mind you it doesn’t look anywhere near as clean as this now and as for the body:wacko:
