Years back, I got into 3d printing. After much frustration, I finally got it figured out and had a decent bit of success. I had so much stuff I wanted to print that it was torture waiting for prints to finish to start the next. I did what many people do: I bought a second printer. That was great for a little while until I ended up with two printers that were down.

That was the case until today.

My CR10 had a wiring issue with the Z-axis limit switch.

It's currently printing a stand for my Losi Mini-T's.

My Ender 3 is still not working properly, but it's working well enough. That one is occupied by prints that I promised the significant other about a year ago.

The dice tower and tray both came off of the printer today. The mug was a little while ago. Currently, the lid for the mug is bring printed.

Finished up the clod (with exception of the esc connector) while painting a couple bodies, might put the clod body together tonight, maybe tomorrow

I could be wrong (because I thought like you did, at first!) but I think that's the store that he bought the servo?

If it IS his stuff, then WOW!!!

Is that the grey/gray version?

I really like the shocks in light blue

Sure is :). I think the light blue looks way better than the other choices, glad they came out with it while I was in the market for a clod

For me, tried my new wheels and a pair of tires (Mini-Z) I've not tried before.  SUCCESS!   Fitment to my GR Supra body is absolutely perfect and drives VERY NICELY.  :D    very happy with the results.   (pictures on Instagram Stories).

I sprayed a Fire Dragon body with metallic purple, making the window mask was tricky but I'm very glad with the result.    I haven't decided what to do with the aliexpress wing yet, I was testing to see if PS paint would stick to the black plastic.

Started the paintjob for my Super Wheelie project...

Ran out of Tamiya Primer at 6pm on a Saturday :-( ...  And found a valid alternative in a local shop at 7.15pm, otherwise would require me to wait until Thursday to pursue the work. Work will resume today...

(NB: I precise, the dog was white before I started to work with the spray... :-) )

Finished the XV-01 late last night:

Put on a used basher body that I picked up cheap and gave it a quick spin in the dark.

This morning I gave it some final tweaks and took it out in the heat.

I can report that it is a joy to drive!

Don't worry about the body. I have a proper one I need to finish.

I had some more runs at the beach these last two days, and enjoyed it very much.

Hornet + sand = extreme fun!

After all that running, there was even time to bro down with a local surfer 🦤 😉Screenshot-20230907-222003-Gallery.jpg

He liked the crumbs but was weary of the Hornet.

Now heading to another beach to do the exact same thing.

Today we picked up my wife’s first vehicle. It was an excellent eBay find, a proper bargain.

Rear wheel drive. Twin 7s 12000 li-ion batteries. Twin 180w brushless motors. ESC and controls included.

It’s not as quick as you’d hope with all that power but I’ve got my eye on a couple of hop-ups 😆

For me, I went out for a nice weekend drive in my 1:1 Golf-R this morning, detailed the car after the drive.  The drive itself was very enjoyable so that was great.   :D

However, after that, I decided to make the long over due heater box for my lawn sprinkler backflow valve (RPZ).  It's was a horribly BORING 1.5 hour project, but it was needed and finally got it out of the way..  I am ready for any sudden dips in temperature in the Fall or Spring while the sprinkler system is still active.. RPZ's are like $600 to replace, not to forget the exposed metal pipe that can also burst if temps dip too low.      Earlier this Spring I had to jerry rig a box out of an empty corrugated box as temps fell into the freezing mark only days after I had the sprinkler system activated by my contractor.  It was a bit of a panic to make this box so it looked like a mess.. I made a clean one today out of plastic corrugated boards.  B)

Now that the rest of my Sunday afternoon is open, going to work on my Mini-Z 's wheels again to test fit other wheels on my other cars.  :D

I noticed not many people like my MX5.  I have less than 100 likes on instagram.. not that I'm doing it for likes and followers, but it's a cool way to see whether the general audience share similar taste or not. I guess not.

Spent all day doing maintenance type stuff around the house and cleaning, tried to do some more rc painting during the various projects but didn’t work out so well :(. I did have to tear apart my instrument panel on one of my trucks so I could repair some solder connections, so I took the opportunity to solder some connectors on my clod and wltoys since I had the soldering stuff out :)

I boated in the morning - another 5 runs of the Proboat Recoil, and some light sailing.

In the afternoon I gave the GF01 Kumamon 'cruiser a proper run. TBH I don't love the way it drives, weirdly the GF01 Dump Truck with the heavier body drives better, but I love the way it looks.

Only one photo, because I'm still getting the blasted '-200' error!

Finally took the time to finish the BBX for now. Slapped on some JC Racing Products gold pepper pot wheels with some big block tires. No time to drive as it's well into the night.

I had another go at some speed runs with some mixed results…

Upped my PB to 47mph, which I’m very pleased with.

For me, woke up to a gloomy gray dreaded Monday, so decided to take a cheerful picture of pretendRCshop and posted on instagram.  :D

Then went next door to my pretend pylon test course and been driving my Mini-Z EVO's.  I need to head to the office later today for my money making gig so not looking forward to that at all..  I just hate being around people I don't really care for.

I ordered more tires for the RWD cars as I found a good match for my EVA foam tiles.  I also tried some new MiniZ buggy tires yesterday and they grip just perfectly.. not too grippy, but not too loose.  Perfect.   B)    I ordered more AAA eneloops as I need 4 per RTR transmitter and not sure how many I have now..  good thing about these transmitters is their power consumption is super low so they can last months (for me at least) if freshly charged NiMH are installed.
