I got an email from Plaza Japan to tell me a £9 part I was waiting for was back in stock.  So I placed a £135 order for "stuff".

Not quite sure how that happened...!

Probably the same way that popping along to the local RC shop to "Just have a look" ends up costing me a few hundred quid and coming home with a new car 🤣

Just under £135 incl. shipping, right? Right?! You don't want to be getting them bills through from FedEx

Asiatees delivery today, according to my doorbell anyway. I'm not home until later. Similarly just under £135, but I haven't ordered from AT since pre-Covid times, I hope I haven't been caught out.

Yep, but I always choose DHL - no issues with any orders so far B)

I found interesting offer. LOL.

TT-02 Audi Quattro with added lights. Standard kit, no Hop Ups.

https://www.olx.pl/d/oferta/audi-quatro-110-tt-02-4wd-tamiya-rc-nowy-oswietlenie-CID4042-IDJBZ77.html

So, what is wrong then?

I will use local currency to show you "issue".

Exactly the same kit costs now 600 PLN. Someone wants for standard kit with lights 3200 PLN (!).

Egress Black Edition costs 1906 PLN.

Am I missed something and this is right price?

Tower's 4X Points is back, for anyone not signed up for emails - through the 15th I believe.

Just saved a few hundred bucks, and finally pulled the trigger on a Top Force Evolution, Midnight Pumpkin Metallic and Candy Green GH :D

A couple times I got some ordering errors, but they went through eventually.

I guess I wasn't the only one stalking the next 4X point event, so I'm sure the site will be fatigued for a bit.

Getting there. Seems i need to cut the front foam bumper to fit the Escort body, then a lot off soldering to fit the led lights and ESC, XT-60 all the way:

For me, just got back from my money making gig at the office.. it really drained me, but the drive home in my WRX was fun so that was cool.  Going to drive my Mini-Z's some more.  :D

Placed some orders for my Mini-Z's.. mainly hard to get and misc parts for my various Mini-Z's.  B)

A bit of me time on the bench this morning in-between day to night shift consisted of finally adding a heatsink to the MK1 Escort, also adding a proper antenna mount with a tube so the antenna isn't just flopping around in the breeze,

FSy2pRQ.jpg

It was great to get around to tidying up the headlight wires as I found some strips of 10mm Velco that is doing the job nicely securing them to the body,

I'd decided to just cut the original kit supplied plastic motor cover earlier around the heatsink to retain the switch mount, which then left me with a perfectly good 'air scoop' so I started looking for somewhere to use it....

Very nice @Re-Bugged!  B)   car looks fantastic!

For me, I think I'm going to crack open the XM1C today to get started while my servo arrives later in the week.. maybe tomorrow, not sure with postal service these days.  If I am lucky I might be able to run my other 1000 TCR body on it.. will see..   it's like there is no calculated or scientific approach with me.. like my MX5 wing..  just make it and hope for the best..

In other news, bought a few back up bodies for my Mini-Z bodies to keep in stock.   I know for certain I can bring back Mini-Z's to Japan when I retire so they don't hold me back as far as available space.  The RWD's drive so well, like a pancar.

Speaking of available space, I am out of display space again so I think I am going to install another floating shelf for my Mini-Z's later today in the pretend pylon test course... I know I have a few more of those shelves left over from my old RC space..

Took the BBX out for a spin in my driveway last night after work - WOW what a joy to drive! Handles like it's on rails and can turn on a dime. The ball diff is so smooth, and the 10.5T BL motor was great with the (smaller diameter than kit) JC Racing Big Block tires, and probably a lot of fun with the larger diameter kits tires - I'll have to find out soon, and also find an off-road spot.

Yeah, I ordered a few thing from PJ and noticed the freight is considerably cheaper to the USA than rcMart so ended up using that delta to add more items.  :D

Same dollars spent, but more goodies B)  >  paying freight

Yeah, it also seems the USA is cracking down on anything from China too.. like I dont know how many times I was forced to deal with customs issues with FedEx when ordering from rcMart.  Never had this issue ordering much more expense stuff for my 1:1 cars overnighting from Japan.

This evening I fitted the body to my BBX. Now I’m going to sit back and look at it for a while.

Okay. I bought this BBX almost buy mistake when my Mrs unwittingly booked a hotel for a weekend away too close to a large model shop😂

Its mostly kit standard apart from the slipper clutch an 13.5T brushless set.

The colour is PS clear red followed by lame sparkle backed with bright silver and finally black. The wheels are from the Tamiya CC01 Defender kit And I 3d printed a vanity panel across the back to hide my dodgy soldering. All in, a lovely kit to build.
