Finished off my ultima very easy build and the quality is superb (for what it cost it should be good quality!! In all honesty it definitely doesn’t disappoint) had a quick blast around the garden and it’s super slick I’ve use 14turn brushed with 2s lipo parts old skool and part modern! Rear suspension is a bit too soft but that’s easily rectified! So overall I’m completely blown away by it:D

Today ive gone at some details on the Pajero body with sharpies and silver pens, door handles, locks and the window trim.

Masked and sprayed the grille area and bumpers black, brush painted the silver.

Then applied some of the decals.

I might go over the stuff on the flat bed at some point and add a bit of oil wash patina/weathering, but for now i think this looks quite presentable.

Last night, my son suggested we run a 'monster truck' today. Cue strimming the back lawn so my basic Flymo can vacuum up the cuttings!

Of course, his Dual Hunter is still in bits and all the cars were boxed up for the aborted garage refurb project but I managed to charge up a couple of packs and retrieve a working car suitable for our back garden.

I'd been talking about letting this one go but now that Junior has run it into a concrete line post it is probably worth very little (bashed the corner of the body pretty well!). Some of the screws are rusting nicely and the front left damper gets stuck when compressed fully (usually in a crash).

We picked up a tiny passenger in a trip through a bush :D

We have been lucky with this one. FTX Outlaws have a pretty poor reputation for reliability but el kid doesn't run at on full throttle / full reverse so the spur gear has held up so far.

I expected it to last a couple of runs so bought a whole host of upgrades for the predicted rebuild - which hasn't happened yet!

Rainy day yesterday. I I got around to painting the sidewall lettering on the Mad Van's tires. While on it, I decided to also paint the locknuts on the rims. 30x 4 = 120 tiny locknuts painted up  I think it was worth it: since the details are there, one might as well see them

Went the extra mile and did the inner sidewall too

Now I gotta rush to a technician as our computer crashed , but can't wait to mount them on the chassis as soon as I'm back.

Cut out and mirrored the decals onto the other side, Realized I’ll need a reversed door number shape for the driver side so I’ll just cut them both new out of white vinyl.

For me no RC yet today except I cleaned and organized my storage area in the basement to breakdown several boxes.  I found a NIB Tamiya 2.4GHz radio and receiver along with servo and TBLE02S, my DX5Pro parts (like handle/steering position, wheel, etc) and some other misc parts.  I also found my Blizzard 2.0's owner's manual so that was good.  B)

Besides that, I also found my old DiscMan from 1992 and MiniDisc Player from around that same era.    Going to see if they still work later.  And several CDR's, D.A.T tapes of my old recordings, an old Mackie analog mixer and some other misc stuff.   I am trying to reduce wire shelf count as there is just too many in the space and making it difficult to get to stuff.  I probably have about 15 shelves in there right now..

Also pulled out my STI's WeatherTechs as I plan to drive the car through winter again this year.

I think I'm going to drive a couple of my Mini-Z's after a quick break.

Update:  Had fun driving my MR03-EVO with the R8 body, then my two Rubicon's on my Mini-Z crawler terrain.  :D  Pictures of the Mini-Z  in my instagram Stories if interested.   #pretendRCshop

Agrios Crawling today ^_^, used my new 60c 6000mah 2Cell that only fit in my Agrios, usually i run 3Cell 75% max forward in it so i programmed the ESC to 100%, it was slower stil but had enough “punch”. Still running with the original Silver Cans :):

Spent a lot off money on this one but im pleased with the end result and have now done around 14 runs without issues off any sorts, it can also handle very deep snow now ( if its loose) so lokking forward to running it in the Snow again:

Looks all mighty there @simalarion!!  👍.     Crawlers are so relaxing to drive. It's weird...it's exciting driving at the limits of tipping over, but slow paced and watching the articulation is so relaxing at the same time.  :D  Plus the scale looks is real nice.

Finished painting my C11 body this morning and did the decals in the afternoon so I have it ready to go, just need to build the car now. I was going to go with something different than box art but changed my mind last second, until I found out I didn't have the correct silver, so now its almost the correct color . I need to start doing the bodies first more often, I find that I enjoy building the kits a lil more when I can put the body on right as I finish. I'll post pics once I build it (hopefully tomorrow).

I agree.. doing the body first kind of gets rid of the anxiousness.. and once you're done building the chassis you're ready to go is a great feeling.  :D      I guess the only time it makes sense to do the body after the chassis is when one needs to drill the holes for the posts.   A lot easier to aim.     GL with the rest of the build!

For me, started off the day swapping floor mats on my 1:1 STI to WeatherTechs in prep for winter driving, also pulled out my sweaters and arranged my wardrobe (closet) a bit.  Did my morning house chores including vacuuming my pretend pylon test course with the new Dyson brush head dedicated for the track (to prevent tire sauce contamination to other rooms.  Much cheaper than buying another Dyson!).  B)

Today I plan to start sanding and shaping the SandScorcher body in prep for paint.. but I am still not clear what color I am going to paint it..  I guess check my TS stock and see if any of the colors I have spark some ideas.  I may end up just sanding the body and skipping the rest of the project until next summer as it would be a waste to paint the body in just any color I have.. my brain is not cued up to do the street version yet it seems..   I think the main issue is that I have a new M06L lined up next and that car previously turned out as I hoped with only little mods on the front upper arm.

Besides that, I'm going to be driving my Mini-Z buggies and m-chassis today.  :D

The weather was nice yesterday as well, so I painted the Escort shell. I was busy, so I started too late on the day. It turned out as a big dusappointment. I got curtains on both sides,  so nothing left to do other than stripping it up to the window-line and do it again :(

PS-Paint will not stick and will run down into cracks etc in the Body if under 15 +- in my experience as i tried to paint in basement during winter time with same result (believe it was around 12-13 celsius), PS-paint running. You should have done as you suggested yourself and paint in a heated Garage, even colder today so it seems we are out off Paint weather for this year :)

Sorry to hear Andreas.  Some days are just like that for me too..  nothing goes to plan and ends up needing to redo it all from the start. :( Hang in there and hope you get another attempt real soon!

The problem is to get coverage on the profile under the side windows. As you say you have little control over both running and dying time.  Back to painting in the baseret, like I did with the Tomahawk and the Golf. They turned out fine.

Added a bit more to the new mini 4wd track.

Added a lid and a handle on the starting gate, tied on with string so the gate won't get lost.

Feed the cars in the back, lift the gate and the race is started.

Was thinking this might work in reverse as well as a less guided jump, but not tested it yet.

I always drill a hole through the body clip and tie it on so it doesn't get lost.

I drove this for a little bit today, to be honest I'm having a bit of an annoying time with my M05. It is fun but even after a bit of tuning/modifying, it likes to roll over sometimes.

But one thing that surprised me was the flex in the front chassis halves...granted, the chassis on mine is very worn. And I'm in no rush to split it in half again!

In other news, I have parts on the way to fix the FAV.

Nice @technics. I did something similar on my FJ's roof..  :D     30min of committed scoring without accidentally slipping..

For me, finished sanding and shaping the Sand Scorcher body.  I decided to take a break and not paint the body until a later time.  I also found that I must have used the side mirrors on the Kyosho Beetle from this body set so I need to order another parts tree.  No big deal.  Will work on my M06L Beetle next.  B)
