Today I posted the first Neo Scorcher on Tamiyaclub (but not mine), having built one today with my cousin:

I know he is going to enjoy it! :)

My work was concentrated on the body - a quick job turned out adequately. More time for fun driving with it, and certainly no shame in letting it get potentially trashed by a rookie driver :P

I put the last of my chargers and a Blackfoot and the Bay today.

I'm interested to see how I get on with those, I think August is a slow month for selling, but we will see.

I went out the front with my 6 year old we we raced our WW2 around for a bit, but she was determined to break it, so time was called early on that escapade!

Did a bit of work on the runner RC10 - painted shell and the chassis

Stripped down a TA-01 that looks like it only ran a few times before someone got bored and it sat in the loft for 10-15 years

I sorted through all of my gear this weekend and tidied up a bit (mainly to shut 'er indoors up) organised the top of the wardrobe with some of my projects. I think it's about time I painted one?!!

Took my Twin Detonator out for a bash at the local park to get some video of it moving (couple of vids posted in my thread in the Monster Truck section).

Have gotta say that I'm well and truly convinced about LiPo now, it makes such a big difference!

Looks great , But you will have to think about getting your painting done as soon as possible .

You have got the window masks on & if left on too long will be a Bu*ger to get off .... ETC !!

Today I made a mess of the living room while assembling my Buggy Champ and reconfiguring my Striker (cleaned up afterwards!):

The Striker received the TEU-104BK ESC from my Avante - I had thought the unit had stopped working... It also got my Buggy Champ's radio while the original car was converted to a Spektrum SR201 receiver:

And then I got ideas while sorting out my collection and saw the Avante and Neo Scorcher shell close to each other:

Who knows if the combination would actually look good, but I can certainly see replacing the stock Avante wing with the newer piece, which I understand also appeared on the Aero Avante. I think it goes nicely with the bodyshell.

My Astute also had its spur gear bearing replaced - previously the small 850 bearing had been omitted accidentally.

Painted this old girl the other day, and took it for a run, a Trinity Euro Kinwald, and some matched 2400mah Orion Vmax cells, made sure it was, just a tad lively lol!

the other half has been nagging again about the time i spend in the RC 'rooms' :(

Well last night she had hours upon hours of prep work for a presentation today, so while she was sat at the laptop i gifted my presence along with a TA-01.

Three hours later a 95% completed TA-01 chassis and a happier other half - job done :D although i expect another nagging when the bodyset arrives later this week :rolleyes:

Far from typically! Nonetheless, you write that as if I have a serious mental problem...

The carpet was a mess from the day before, and I worked there knowing I had to clean it afterwards. No greasing was involved: just parts, and a bit of dirt - I would have never done it had I been rebuilding a gearbox or something like that. Usually I work at my desk in my room, or outside, but that day I took advantage of circumstances.

... And now we have problems with carpet colour? That carpet is grey, thank you very much!

... :P

Anyways, I managed to take my rebuilt Buggy Champ out for a run after realizing it had been mostly-neglected. A storm was threatening to come in but it eventually blew over. As one of the few truly-waterproof RC cars I own (I did not want to risk burning out a bulb on my Lancia - yet), I figured it was my best bet in case it did rain:

Bound to my Spektrum radio, it actually seemed to run stronger than before.

My girlfriend has no hesitation in applying nail varnish, reeking the place out. Using that logic one can whip out the TS sprays and crack on in the same room no?!

The same case with my mother - I think her nail polish smells close to my paints, but she does not believe me...

Anyways, after checking to see if the carpet in the living room was in fact grey or beige and not looking as if a bomb went off on it, I went out with my reconfigured Striker this time. I had the chance to take one lousy photo before it choked and died on me:

As it only does this when the battery is installed, I think it could have to do with the way the battery cables are bent in the chassis - perhaps there are enough kinks in the wires to starve the ESC of electricity when enough current is drawn? It runs well on a stand when the battery is placed alongside the car, without stuffing the stick pack inside the lower bodyshell.

So I dusted off my Avante and gave that a run instead:

This car still flies!

Not a problem with the colour (that's my colour) but with it's inability to hide any accidental RC stains...

You may also need to try the motor on the stand with battery out & put it under strain DO the same with the battery in it as well .

As you have just let the wheels run freely don't help . The motor may not work under strain & the battery may be fine . Some thing to think about ?. This is how i find problems etc . Good luck .
