Explored a new area of our wonderful hobby: tire lettering. After the lettering on the first tire went well, I ended up with five sets.

I've been tinkering with rc cars for about 15 years now and didn't know how beautiful and meditative tire lettering can be.

Knocked up this imitation FF02 from my old M03 + some TL01 suspension arms and a 3d printed centre section. Also made some front and rear strut braces to stiffen up the floppy stock top shock mounts, if it improves handling is anyones guess though. Just need to sort a shell and go bashing.

For me, took several clips of the Kyosho Beetle with the painted aluminum wheels this morning and posted on Instagram.  Please check it out if interested.  #pretend_RC_shop.  I will be doing another group shot reel soon.

For today, I am going to make another plant for my Kyosho displays.. probably the same type of plant that is in the photo below.  Otherwise just relax and enjoy my space in my pretend_RC_shop .  B)

I tried to crawl the Telluride and...yea, it's not a crawler. I threw on some bigger wheels anyhow just to make it a little better off road, and I had them sitting around.

@chris.alex nice, I too find tire lettering meditative and very rewarding overall, at one condition: lighting has to be optimal! Possibly broad natural daylight. I tried once with poor lighting, never again!

@Tamiyastef congratulations on your first cockpit, turned out just fine, very lively with these colors 🙂👍

This photo is just 👌 @Willy iine

As for me, today I dug out the Manta Ray. She's been waiting for maintenance for a while now. Installed a Tamiya HT servo saver along with a new cheapo servo I had kicking around (not sure I'll keep this one installed, but it's worth a try).

20231125-210306.jpg

The car needs more love, for instance I have to intervene on that steering set whose performance is duller than its bling... sloppy! Especially after years of severe use  but that was it for today, as I just wanted to power it up and go for a drive.

Haven't seen this guy in a while

20231125-210253.jpg

I grabbed battery and remote and went down to a trusty spot around the corner, just to test the car and stretch its legs after months of zero activity.

Within 5 minutes, a door opened and a security guy from a theater or whatever that is surfaced, asking me what I was up to, and that "he had been told to ask me to leave". Dude... I was indeed representing such a danger 🙄 so off I went, so much for that.

But good news for him: I'll be happy to swing by whenever I'm in the area and feeling like running RC, that'll give him some good distraction and something to do in an otherwise likely boring day 😚

Yeah I wasn't sure but it's for the NSU body and those look like toy cars even in real life :P

Nice to read that the Manta in the gorgeous colors are moving again. I am sure you liked the new steering feeling with the HT servo saver.

Regarding mr guard: I had a nice experience this week worth mentioning. When I was about to run the Dictator on Wednesday there were already 4 cars parked in front of the gate (on my marked up course) and 4-5 workers there,  who were going to work on the neighboring plant further up. I thought that was it. No running today and lyckily I was going to run the Dictator only, so no lipo to discharge. This transformator plant is on a halfway remote spot and the road there ends at the gate, so I understand it feels suspiscious when a random guy turns up there. From time to time you read about russians flying drones near airports or other critical infrastructure here in Norway,  so I understand people are sceptical. This place  is the main transformator plant for this area  of the railway, so well; a good example of such I explained what I was up to and the unthinkable happened: They moved their cars, so I could start driving and asked me to have fun. Way to go!

The elusive Dark Blue...

I really like the dark blue. But why the heck didn't the colour get a regular number? Why not just the next in line PS-64?

I purchased 3 more kits off ebay, got them for amazing prices couldn't pass them up.  Grasshopper green edition, frog and Wild One Blockhead.  Adding to my Hornet, NovaFox, Hotshot and BBX.  I'm yet to build the BBX and just started the Hotshot, having a ball....its very addictive.  I haven't built a kit since 85 when I built my original Fox.

Got one more run in before the rain starts today and I go back to work on Monday. At least this will be my last week at this job before heading off to what promises to be a better one. Nervous nevertheless.

Funny how that works, I just finished refreshing my Alfa and wound up using "50" as a number.

I got one more vacation day today, so going to work on Bob's lamp post.  I got the street bench done, will paint both later today.  Besides this, going to continue looking at what I can do to improve the cosmetics of the driving space of my pretend pylon test course.. I have to keep in mind that the more props I place, the more stuff I need to put away before vacuuming the room weekly..

And may be do some cyber-Monday window shopping..

Because of the freezing temperatures, a friend and I only lasted an hour outside yesterday, but it was still very nice. First we did a few laps with our drifters, his TT02D and my TA02. Then I drove the MB01 and can only say: I love this little RWD rocket. And last but not least, I wanted to know whether the TT02SR can also stay on track in dry conditions: she can. The change that tamiya engineers did to the steering compared to previous TT02 versions pays off. Driving my SR is pure pleasure. :-)

Mostly finished off my German "The Boss" variant of the Kyosho Big Boss tonight. Missing some parts and the chrome was shot compared to my other Big Boss. but its coming along. All this started because TBG sent me an extra Boss body years back...

This is the first time I've been able to log in for months. Hopefully I can try and catch up on everyone's activities.

Any idea why the site is no longer accessible on my PC, and intermittently on my phone? I see the '200' error still lingers when uploading photos, too.
