Now that the big hype is over, I'm having fun with the Suzuki kei truck . I didn't expect that the little pickup would bring me so much joy. Very simply built, not very powerful and yet drives surprisingly well. While there are already LEDs in the front, I couldn't resist installing some in the back too.

@chris.alex nice truck.  What scale is that? 1:18?   I too agree driving casually and within the limits is a joyous experience.  👍

It's 1:10 scale but indeed looks like 1:18 because these kei trucks just are small vehicles.

Yeah they are tiny. I have one in my 1/12 collection as they look like they fit in.

For as cheap as D12s are, they really don't drive half bad. I keep one as a low maintenance "always ready" RC that I can run indoors .

On my end I just had a car repair bill. Think I'm going to downsize my fleet to pay it off.

Oh that's unfortunate. The clutch on mine probably needs to be repaired, garage appointment is in January. So I'm familiar with the idea of downsizing the fleet.

As for the Suzuki truck, I agree that it is mostly suitable for indoor use. 🙂

I’ve just booked my 16 year old BMW in for an MOT next month 😳

Sounds like you made a great choice the second time round then 😁

The nearest VW event back then was Detling Kent for me. Such a friendly crowd in the V-Dub scene.

Those are brilliant little trucks. A go to for my Niece and Nephews to play with. And just plain fun.

I also have a car repair coming up, early in the new year.

Finally calling the Scooby Doo done, looking forward to running it now 😁 Might add some mud flaps down the track.

What an absolute work of art. It looks wonderful. Almost too good to use... (only joking, give it a good thrashing)

@Re-Bugged Your car looks absolutely top notch gorgeous!  Congrats on the clean finish.  Excellent work as always!  B)

For me, my 3rd attempt at the Lego locomotive camera car failed unfortunately yesterday.  I was a bit disappointed.  The aluminum rails turned out great, the Lego locomotive with a new custom low CG design glides down my home-made rails smoothly and flawlessly.. however the gating item is the iPhone's inability to stabilize the image and focus.  I can make the rails even smoother by sanding the tops of the rails as there is some texture, but that is not the problem.  It's the camera.

I am out of ideas so decided to get a new camera... not the mirrorless R50, but a GoPro Hero11 as I need it to be compact and light enough the locomotive can push/pull it.. from past experience with GoPro's on my 1:1 cars, I know it can stabilize and focus well, so will go pick my order up this morning and try another attempt this afternoon.   I hear there's an app to sync the video to my camera roll on my iPhone so that is a big plus.  Wish me hope..

I've added new tires and wheels to finish the Ranger resto project.

I'm trying to limit the use of new parts with this project but the original wheels are very yellowed and tires heavily cracked so they don't look very nice.  I'll dress the tires with silicone and keep them packed and preserved for the next owner.

Headless driver and co-driver - I guess they have higher powers on their side ... ;)

(seriously, such an amazing work all round!)

Tires for me, honestly I'm just happy that it was a simple fix. I'm used to Swedish cars that could take all weekend just to figure out what's wrong (and good luck finding a mechanic that will touch one).

Speaking of tires...I ran this for a bit and forgot that I had the wrong hexes in the back, oops.

Thank you 😄. Hopefully put a battery through it today stretching its legs and take a few photos outside. There was a cyclone heading our way but is tracking well to the north of us now so the wind has died down at least.
