Unusual day for me today, I have few days left of my holiday and I spent most today doing Tamiya stuff.

Mostly cleaning and assembling my Black Brat which is now very close to be finished and running.

I listed a few bits for sale on the 'Bay and put a Hilux up for sale as well.

Happy Dayz, bit of a one off day, but very nice all the same.

Dining room table is scattered with various bits of 4 different TA03 chassis'. Mrs is absolutely fuming because we had to eat dinner sat on the sofa.

Hate to imagine what all of the bits would be worth NIP from this mountain, I'll have to get a pic.

I took the F201 and motorcycle out racing. The 201 did really poorly against it's sister but we found the setup differences between them. I crashed repeatedly, I found new pieces to come off the bike and ended the 201s day when I went back first into a curb. Broke a couple bits there that will have to be made. It was a great time.

The other F201 officially changed owners and I brought this back for another project.

I found one seller of the parts I needed for the F201 but they are more fond of them then I am. These aren't factory but once they're drilled and tapped for ball joints They'll work just fine. More than enough for two cars too.

Finally found the section of camo netting I had from my 1/6 figure days. Its just big enough to fit the CC01 Dingo at a stretch with a few well placed holes :)

Edit: I'd also done a little panel shading with some oil paints and white spirt.

I've got to get the driver figure finished but the steering is bugging me big time. Seriously thinking about moving the servo forwards and doing a direct linkage now!

Ooh, Dingo is lookin' good now fella!

Took my Holiday Buggy to the beach to try out the Sport Tuned/2S combo and it rocks! Rooster tails and dog chasing action aplenty, until that is I lost the steering due to the servo screw winding itself out and departing the chassis. Have loctited a new sucker in there now. Preceded to test it out when I got home in the road and now it's in new of new tyres lol

Also tried out my Lunchbox on a 2S LiPo with the 17T motor and, well it's a touch too powerful now. It's impossible to give it full throttle from standing as it just stands up on the wheelie bar and one back wheel causing it to fall over on its side. Think I need some more practice.

Dusted off the dyna storm runner, and replaced the stings with some TRF BB springs to see if it would improve the blancmange handling, made it worse!

Still in trouble with the Mrs cos of this -

TA03s aplenty!

Using all of my spare parts to build a 2wd Brat thing -

It will be rear engine/gearbox only

And this is the distraction:

Took a trip to North Beach, Hunstanton ,Norfolk . Great location to run RC with a mix of sand dunes , a nice flat rock free beach and plenty of rock falls from the cliffs . The CC-01 Jeep got a real testing and the modifications worked brilliantly . A few small things need some improvement though . Front chassis wheel arches need about 1/4 inch trimming off - tyres rub slightly on full compression . Its in need of wheel weights and star cut foams to improve grip . Having said that it impressed me and even managed to get all the way up one section of cliff face . Absolutely no breakages .

Brushless FTX Carnage was a hoot on the flat firm sand - no damage .

Wild Dagger / Blackfoot 4x4x4 was a total laugh . It just unstoppable . The big balloon tyres just seem to float over even deep sand - great fun in the dunes . This was built tough and its had abuse so as expected it ran faultlessly .

I avoided the salt water - no chance IMO

A great day with over 6 hours of RC fun and games . Just wish I had the means to film it or take some Photos

So as per every years spent the weekend at the London Carnival (live 5 mins down the road from Ladbroke grove anytime anyone in london come over for a beer/coffee)

so didn't do anything other then put the new df03 chasis on the Keen Hawk.. sorry no pics was drunk :/

Also missed a very important call fom a TC member (due to the fact I was off my face and left the phone at a friends in the middle of Ladbroke Grove)

Important because it was to finalise payment on Egress (original with box manual never run) so imissed that call then the next one a day later :(.

But today got my phone back finalised and payed for my new Egress W00000T happy bunny

So in few days I will be in receipt of my new Egress !!!

Today, I forgot to reduce the gearing on my Avante and so it overheated, but not before a fast run:

(it is all right now, but I will need to check the motor again)

However, my Lancia proved reliable. I revisited the feeling of terror when I stood it on its front bumper after a jump, but thankfully I stuck the landing! With new soil and sprinklers going on at my bashing grounds, I got it plenty dirty:

Just finished painting my CC01 Dingo driver and I'm pretty please with how he turned out. Since I got the Arnie figure as a passenger a while ago I thought the driver should be another one of his team from the Predator movie and as it happens I'd recently removed the HB2010 cowboy head... he looked like a very good match for the "Bane" character that carried the mini gun.

"Get to da choppa!"

null_zps8e9beb0c.jpg

Just need to fill in the joints on Arnie now, give him an assault vest and they're almost done.

I'm taking this to the sand dunes at Littlehampton later today to get some photos with my brothers Humvee so I'll post up pics of that too.

The parts were easier to make than install. I was glad I took the whole gearbox out since it needed to be replaced anyway. It had two broken posts but luckily I had a spare. So last weekends crash victims are fixed. I got the bike fixed too.
