Ordered a 1/12 Kawada Pan Car from RCMart to put under a TBG 956 body, In Rothmans livery. Hopefully works out as I’m picturing

M300GT2R, with rubber tires?

Looking forward to see it! 😄

Isn't that a tad wide for the TBG body?

No idea, wouldn’t have thought its any wider than RM01 chassis? Both 1/12 pan car chassis.

**Edit - 169-172mm wide, RM01 listed at 170 wide, so should be fine I think

It's slipper time.

Fitted the slipper clutch to the DB01 Durga and found a slipper for my DF03 on Buyee, so have ordered it.

Outside of that fitted alloy clamp hexes to my M07.

Small wins as they say 😂

Worked on my first Fire Dragon last night and compared it to my recent experience with the TT-02B.   Overall the Fire Dragon is a great kit with metal dogbones and large CVA dampers.  The assembled tolerance is much better with limited slop.   Steering design is really old and could use improvement.  Lots of hard plastics which may crack more easily over time.  Ground clearance is impressive even with smaller diameter tires.

I can relate to this for sure. I looked at my tyre/wheel collection last night, and there are four big boxes of them! Might be time for a "Tyre Tombola".

Same here! The question that bothers me most is, why? I don't reckon there are that many models that I have bought brand new wheel and tyre sets for. For example, I have 2 touring cars, both of which have wheels fitted, yet I have at least 5 sets of wheels and tyres for touring cars in my spares box - all brand new. Why?? Where have they come from??

Haha. Me too. I think for me it's because they are relatively cheap to buy and I think to myself I need these tyres for that surface, those for this surface and some spares for when they wear out. Then some for if its a little damp, and a spare set of those. Etc etc...

Tested some paint colors...

Turns out PS-23 is pretty close to the old FasKolor "Charcoal", so that's good news in my books...

I've almost finished all my unfinished projects.

I've been thinking about what car I most want to build next....and it's the Falcon.:(  I wish Tamiya would rerelease it this year..

Test fitted a Tamiya Porsche body with a nominal 251mm wheelbase to a Carten T410R car with a 255mm wheelbase.

The wheelbase difference is no issue at all in real life, the body fits like it was meant for this wheelbase. The rear wheel actually looks much better centralized the wheel well in real life than in this photo.

You could make one out of other things 😉

Although mine's more modified, as a minimum it's a Blitzer Beetle with different wheels and yellow shock plastics.

Yeah, I know, that's only got one actual Falcon part in it but hey ho, it's an option!

Felt like the first glimmer of summer here and my son and I were on the beach with our DT-03s.

20240409_141304 VideoCapture_20240409-174139

We marked out a track with driftwood and rocks and drove round it badly til our batteries ran out, with the odd interuption from a nice dog who was saving the world one evil RC car at a time

(our dog is on the same mission, so we left her at home) then we went for cake.

@BuggyDad - left the rear wing at home too? Or did you lose it in a dogfight? :)

Well, the rear wing off the orange one experienced some gruelling dog fights early in its career and has been considered missing in action since some time in early 2022. The yellow one has a nice Egress style wing that is in good physical (unclear mental) health but is taking a sabbatical from its punishing job, atop a wing mount that is increasingly bruised but will sometime get revived as a slightly different 3d print, as and when I work out how to print in TPU.

Wings on these two buggies have a tough time of it. The buggies are tanks, on which fragile protrusions will forever be up against it.

car with a 255mm wheelbase

In the picture it looks like it would even be better on a 257mm wheelbase :o

Do you have a Tamiya reference for this bodyshell? I would love a Porsche shell for a regular 257mm wheelbase touring car chassis.

Yeah, it's just the camera angle that makes it look that way. But I guess it should fit a 257mm car as it is, or with very minor offset trimming of the wheel wells.

If by Tamiya reference you mean the product code, it is 51543.

Seeking buggy livery advice
I did not want to follow box art and had some Momo livery decals destined for touring cars handy.  Here is a color photocopy mock up for review.

What do you think?

I may not install the center racing stripe as I have mixed feelings on the design
