In order to prevent the already battered gearbox of my Wild One from wearing through, I installed a stainless steel protector plate from Xtra Speed.

Turned the lawn into an RC track today.

20240820_155407

The big wheeled DT-03s grip roll a bit too easily on the grass in these conditions. It's short and dry but we have never had a sustained really dry period so the grass is strong and grippy. It'd be interesting to mow it tighter but this is as low as my mower goes. I intend to try them on buggy wheels but that requires time and glue after some months of neglect.

Finished mods to the Neo Falcon:

This buggy I missed at the time and I'd really fancy have one. For me it's really the last "Wild Thing" from Tamiya, look-wise. Furthermore, despite the DT-02 is a super classic chassis, it's so cool & easy to drive. Nice pics, thanks for sharing :)

Not RC related, but still fun on wheels so why not...

I managed to resuscitate my old little beast from back in the day, almost feels like I'm 20 again 😅

Scooter tuning used to be big in Italy and Germany back in the early '00s, and I certainly got bitten by the bug... so glad I managed to keep it around, 2 strokes 100cc it still packs some punch

Cool thatyoustill have got it.  Mine is gone,  but I have managed tok keep my first car (and 2 more of the enthusiast cars I have hadthrougout the years). Here it was more about mopeds with manual. The nicest were the Suzuki TS-X, which you got 12,5hp tuning for. If you could get an old Suzuki ZR or ER it was even better. They could be brought up to 15,5hp.

I remember a german friend of mine brought his not especially original scooter when we visited VW Blasen in 2004. It was practical when you needed something outside of the festival area. With the car there was minimum 2h waiting to get back in. With scooter none. You only had to avoid the police, which were the same with the car. If pulled over with the car it was nice to speak the language fluent,  but have norwegian plates.

Geez @Ferruz, you wouldn’t loose your scooter in the packed out parking bays would you!! Awesome racing exhaust on it. Please tell us you had matching leathers too 😉

Loved the old 2 Stroke days, I didn’t have a scooter although the Aprilia’s were always sort after. Yamaha DT 125 LC, Kawasaki KMX 200 & a Yamaha TDR 250, nothing like hitting the Power band and launching ones self into orbit 😃

I didn’t like the way the finish ended up on the blacked off grill area of the evo due to air moisture, temperature, poorly mixed paint so I re masked the front and gave it a quick repeat.

I masked off the exterior parts and gave them a quick spray of black primer then PS black to match all other black on the bodyset.

(looks like a dog with a bag on its head 😆)

I fitted the new aluminium upper and lower control arms on my  blackfoot. They arrived from China this morning.

Please tell me you have a ride on mower with that lawns footprint!

I have a Flymo on wheels which on its lowest setting doesn’t get short enough for my liking either but I spotted my neighbour has a hover mower on air which does cut shorter!

Welcome to Gardeners corner everyone!

RC stuff, none for a while.

I did a lot of scooter and moped tuning in my life, have owned more then 35 moped and scooters , but in the early days when you get got by the police you only get a fine, now these days the rules are changed  more then 30 km to fast and you lose your drivers licence, so  no more super fast scooters or mopeds for me, one  my favoriete was the aprillia sr , and a zundapp ks80  with an 110cc motorkit on it.

This was my commuter scooter up until about a month ago, until the insurance company wrote it off, due to another attempted theft 🤬.

It was my 1st Scooter so it felt fast and as it was 350cc 💨 there was some go in it -

Nicked named Big Bev by my wife 😂

No no no, I'm much lazier than that. I've got a robot lawnmower. Designed the whole lawn layout around having one...

I mowed it once with the (rather poor performing and small screwfix special) push along thing we had for our previous much smaller lawn. It took hours.

The green is looking beautiful. A lovely deep look to it.

Thank you!

To be honest, it should be yellow, but things happened and it is green :D Magic of backing color.

I just caught up on the build thread. What a happy accident! The whole build is great.

Finally hobbled together the footage from my first proper test run of the Falcon I got up and running. 4 hole discs and adding some weight on the back of the tub to simulate the old AA pack and absent MSC servo really sorted the rear suspension out!
