Today I pulled out my TD4 that’s been collecting dust since its release and installed a carbon shock tower and alum suspension mount

Nothing RC related but I did manage a spot of weathering.

100% RC related 👍

Looks even better now, I’ve never seen a clean garage vending machine 😂

Thank you. It now fits into the theme. I've got a nice Raleigh Chopper I've just weathered to add into the garage.

I had a yellow chopper as a kid, loved it until some prat stole it from Harrow Leisure Centre.

They are expensive bikes to buy now 😳

Made some progress on my re-re FAV build yesterday - straying from box art on this one, as I'm not a huge fan of sand or olive drab. When I went the path of NATO black for paint, I decided to mix in some silver from the BH Wild One parts trees. Then the thought of a rebel dude with an MX helmet and leather jacket and driving gloves came to mind, LOL. Attempted to distress the silver parts a bit as well. Still a WIP:

And here's what I've painted over the last couple weekends to prepare for the end of paint season. I wish I did this last year, and might sneak a couple/few more in this month, weather permitting:

Plenty of winter projects to build now and no waiting for spring to finish the bodies 👏

Ran XV-01. Such a great car, even with Silver Can!

The white does look good and easier to pick out against the greenery 👍

Thank you!

BTW: on surface like on photo, tires just disappear after a while. Few NiMh packs, more or less 1h and I clearly see a lot of wear.

Finally finished the electronics. I was not looking forward to shortening the ESC and steering servo leads, but it makes the install much cleaner. The yellow antenna tube just adds a little touch as well.

I attempted to put together an XV01 from parts, but appears I’m missing the piece in front of the motor and a 840 bearing.

I am sure we had a thread called something like "In One!" where we would show how we had cut a body shell in one piece. Can't find it now of course, but if I could, I would add this picture:

I have been following WRC a bit and it's nice when Tamiya makes the body of your favorite racer and it's actually available, and cheap. So I just had to get the Yaris body.

I'm not sure yet if I'll suffer through the 100-something stickers (then fear damaging the body...) or make a simplified runner version of it (and run it as it should be without any second thoughts). Hmm I sense another PS-54/PS-5 livery coming.

Go for simple version. Full livery looks nice, but at least for me, they do not make too much sense for proper runner.

My hopped up TT02 for 21.5 TC spec with a new (previous body was gun metal) Raikiri body and the 2 different wings from the Racing Wing Set (53604). Type A, the flatter wing is painted in white, with some yellow backing (originally it was supposed to be the other way around, but I messed up. You can still see some yellow tint peeking through though). Type B is the high downforce wing, painted in red with white backing. For this body, I mounted the wing posts on the rear most slots, so the wing protrudes behind the body.

I went with the Fighter Buggy RX (58184) colors and sourced some replica stickers from MCI Racing that I plan to use on the body. Not the whole lot, but perhaps some of the stars and stripes.
