Not exactly the same way. The one on the right has the F103 offset t-bar and a motor mount/rear axle section made from a variety of F103/4 parts and hop-ups. I think it may have added a few mm to the wheel base.

Those are Conrad "Reely" buggy complete wheels. I like them because they are so versatile. They don't balloon a lot with higher speeds (up to 35mph) and at the same time they perform well enough off-road. They are not the most beautiful wheels, they are more like useful consumables.

I set up a little cone course to remind myself I suck at driving. I feel it's good to stay humble as much as possible so I try to drive little cars around without hitting the corner markers. I had a blast though and decided my enthusiasm makes up for my lack of skill. The car was flawless and the morning was spectacular.

Last night I did something similar to @Rinskie.

I finally tried to mark a "full size", wide and fast layout and took my M-05 for a few stints. This had been on my mind for a little while. I wanted to see how my go-to postal weapon would do on the fast sweepers and long straights. I used foam tires which I prefer for winter (the temperature has plummeted to an impressive 13degC 🤣). Also I'm now using a 21.5t motor with the 3racing high speed gear set. Well... The little hot hatch is fast! Being set-up for postal it has almost too much steering but it's a lot of fun. I will be installing a thin anti-roll bar at the front just to tinker a bit.

Tamiya toolset box is quite fragile. I never took care of finding a solution... I did yesterday...

I designed a replacement part targeted for print without any need for supports, neither additional material...

I printed it in PETG with lighting infill set very low (3%) and with scarf seams (all countour, all default settings). 

There is room for improvement for the scarf seam, but both the PETG and picture does not help here... That said, it gives an homogeneous aspect all allong the face...

I'm happy with the result, and the STL is good... I may remove the scarf seam on the print profile I'll publish on makerworld.

Tested the XV-01 LD on gravel for the first time. It has a Silvercan andI was on NiHm, so expectations were low. For the very short time it works it's doing it's thing nice,  but for my preferences very underpowered. The biggest issue on the other hand was the steering constantly jamming,  so I understood why I made the vertical servo mod on my other XV-01 in the first place. Luckily I already have the parts needed for that.

Rebuilt the TT-02 dampers, replacing 3 hole pistons with 1 hole. Seems to be a bit more damping effect

Pulled out my Kyosho Ultima Outlaw truck as I found an original wheel set for it on eBay . I bought some Schumie Vee2 tyres and inserts for the wheels as the og tyres are as rare as hens teeth or rocking horse poo or both . I've got a Pargu vintage copy alu UM28 rear guard set on the way , and bought a re-re Ultima rear guard for my Ultima F&R based Lunchbox which meant I had to make the mounts for it as the re-re uses plastic hi lift wing mounts to do the job and those don't work on a truck . I'll see how the Pargu set is and I might get another for my Kyosho Sideways , although there is a roll bar support strut in the chassis slot where the guard fits , so that might not happen .

Damage inspection is still to be completed, but it seems that at least the chassis tub is broken.

Sad to see the body wrecked and to read that the tub cracked. But it's a good opportunity to upgrade to the RS tub.

Ouch, thats why i always look for places without cobblestones & poles of different sorts, they seems to have that magnetic effect on my RC Cars ...

Having a hard time still finding a good free tarmac space (that do not have to much of the mentioned nemesis)d not to far away for my street-cars in Oslo. The BBX works very well on the other hand for the terrain i have close.

Went for a tumble down a dry creek bed and landed on a rock. Heard a crack when it happened, but I wasn't expecting to find a big hole in the roof!

Sort of fixed it. Couldn't find one of the roof shards on the trail, so I filled the rest of the hole with a bed of electrical tape. Just looks like a big dent now. Been trying to keep this body going since about 1995, at first with duct tape and now with clear packing tape. The roof was the one area that was still in good shape until this happened, now it's taped up the same as the rest of the body

So I bought two of the Losi mini jrx2 buggies. They chopped the price big time and they look amazingly accurate to the big version...truly identical except the scale. Full bearings, slipper(I think) oil shocks... So to quinch my craving for a jrx2 * got them.

 I don't know why the originals 1/10 scale ones are sooooo hard to find. I can find RC10 all day long but not a jrx2....like none, not even beat up ones in pieces. This is the last car I need for my collection and make that 11 year old inside me, smile. It's the car I remember all the RC10 guys being afraid of at my local track all those years ago.

 

I can't wait to check out the mini version...they seem to be really quality and very accurate....
