Finished a Lunchbox. Ready to go stomp the woods!
Put a stopper on the rear shocks because I saw that in an unlimited form, the transmission case could slap the 5th shock.

Got my TT-01E that was gifted to me in this state in May:

With this try-out in between: a (for my skills) way to powerful brushless system:

To this end station:

Torque Tuned motor,  TBLE-02S esc, Dumbo rc X6F receiver. Exactly what I'll be putting in my other TT-01E once I get it build. First time I soldered the esc wires directly to the motor tabs and first time I used heat shrink around the servo wires to get the wiring somewhat tidy.

Body is painted, just waiting for decals/ stickers...

Bit of a story, a mate at work has been really keen on a Daihatsu Hi-Jet truck, but his wife wont come to the party. These seem to be gaining a real cult following, at least down here in Aus. Anyway, today I ordered this (In fact I ordered 2 because you know) which I will present to him as a gift, I know he will get a kick out of it

If Tamiya sold this like that (with a prepainted body obviously) I believe they would have sold many more than they did now. Awesome paintjob!

Aye, but they'd have had to double* the price of the kit to pay for the workmanship!

* or far more

Or maybe a bunch of fiddly, super complicated decals (that you would have to cut out, of course).

I can only agree to the comments above, great paint job! :)

I started with a kit that was rather unusual for me. It is the Mercedes Benz Unimog, 1/32 Mini 4WD Series No.9 that I bought a few months ago for an unbelievable 9.99 euros. It is meant to keep my 1/10 Unimog (CR01) company. All I can say is: it is really small. 🙂

I love the Unimog logo Tamiya created back in the days:

Update: we are in 1986 and we should use UM3 batteries. 🙂

Thanks @Tamiyastef :) I quite enjoy the painting process and the airbrushing, I find it a good way to zone out, focus on something different and relax.

Swapped over all the parts from my Schumacher L1R carbon chassis which broke to the stock aluminum chassis in preparation for my weekly Sunday off road races.  Tweaked a couple things on my TLR based Street Stock car for dirt oval racing Thursday.....

Then, I gave in and ordered a Hornet EVO......because I didn't have one in 1987.........

Painted these wheels ready for my rally car project. Fans of group B should recognise them.

Paranoid Perry told me communication is key. So I installed a slightly longer antenna in his TD4 Super Avante. Now he has a particularly good radio connection to his team and maybe he doesn't have to be quite so paranoid anymore. 😌
