Strictly speaking this was last night (no idea why my post written last night isn't here but never mind )..

Installed clod a and c parts which basically meant I could finally get my clod chassis reassembled - been a pair of axles and a half built chassis tub for weeks . Traxxas shocks added along with TEU-103 ESC. Waiting on pair if torque tuned motors from banzai. Wheels re painted (silver centres, Ford Polaris silver outer edges) last weekend so tyres fitted and installed. Looks a lot better than when it arrived looking like a bag of skittles. !..

I dusted off my old motor lathe, fitted a new bit and skimmed the comm on my technigold and fitted brand new technigold brushes. Rebuilt it and soldered wires to the new tabs and fitted into my Madcap. Just need to wait on a dry day to run it.

Painted the window trims on my Brat. They're not perfect, but once the paint has gone hard I can scrape it back to straight lines.

Painted the grille and also the indicators, now just need to add the headlights and can take it for its first drive in anger...

Built up a set of M chassis aluminium dampers

Wet sanded the clod shell, another coat of clear hardening now

Cut clod decals ready

Bought nothing on eBay - yayyyy!!

Did watch a mediocre frog make more than a tidy TRF501X :(

And just in case you are in any doubt as to how bright these lights are...

It is pitch black out there! Difficult to capture, but they are painful to look at - you definitely can't look directly at them.

Well I got cracking with my lunchbox, did quite a bit and got up to here:-

There will be a build thread to follow as I have been taking pictures as I go along, first thought is how much flex there is in the front of the tub. I think I can add a chassis brace using some of the left over A parts. Will just need to source some threaded rod from my LHS.

None of my hop ups have arrived so I will be taking it apart again to fit the third shock, cva's, sport tuned motor and chassis brace. Although I did get these :D

Took a few models for a run at the Clumber Park meet. Lotsa fun! Found that my Minimutt was just as fast around the track in reverse as it was going forwards!

Got the Clod shell back together after its new paint. Added silver highlights to the window surrounds. Indicators to paint in and decals still to go

That Clodbuster shell looks superb - unlike my Striker, which suffered paint degradation under a coat of TS-13 Clear.

My Tamtech BMW held up, though - once ball bearings are sorted, it shall run again!

Pretty happy with it considering how it started out as a 'ruined' original :(
