I set about fitting a few of the smaller parts I had collected for my rising fighter. A 540 sport tuned from Banzai and some aftermarket shocks from Modelsport. The light buckets also came from Modelsport but the LED's came from Ebay. I've bought a second body to paint so I can keep the original in pristine condition. I'm still undecided on colour but lime green will feature somewhere. I had also planned to use the mesh to make some form of window netting. It looks ok so far but I'm not sure it will stay.

Mastino you've cut that very similarly to how I cut mine for my jurassic park project. What colour are you going to paint it?

touched! :D:ph34r:

I'm in front of your post on scale4x4, and i'm studing what you did with NB body. At the moment I've not idea about color; definitily much simpler then that you did.

For example, I have cut the bathtube but i'm not sure if it's a good idea...

The Vajra wheels actually match the truck's graphics very well. Good call.

Today: I converted my Quattro's gearbox to ball bearings, charged some batteries, and refitted my Striker with box-art wheels and tires.

I've finally finished something....woohoo!

All back together, starts on the button and ready to rock and roll...

I know it's not Tamiya and I know its nitro, but I really enjoy this truck it is totally awesome.

Well out of my technical range and experience, but it's been good fun replacing parts and getting to understand it better.

I have done quite a lot today but lost a lot of time messing with the 84365 cva's (see thread in monster trucks)...

I did however do a third shock mod (quite impressed with myself) :D

I will put details on how I did this when I do my build thread.

Fitted the sport tuned motor and cva's to lunchie and got her up to here:-

And I took stadium blitzer out for the first time and it was great aside the nimh battery that did not last long (possibly as it's been stood a few weeks) I must get a proper charger.

I also found the disused children's park at the end of our street makes a pretty cool track and should be great when it dries out, was put in by the builders when they built the estate but the swings etc were removed by the council a few years back leaving a large grassy area with tarmac sections and a tarmac path perimeter :)

The grass is ever so slightly too long for buggy's at this time of year (hopefully the council will cut it) but the stadium blitzer really swallowed it up :D I think I'm going to build a ramp :D

Took the Vantage out for a thrash on some damp park grass and was fantastic with the new K Block Tyres :). The velco that is attached to the lower sides of the body and chassis tub helped keep every bit of dirt out of the chassis. :) ......... it did however turn to RWD after 15mins when the prop shaft joint grub screw came loose :( , so some Tamiya AG Threadlock later and all is fixed.

Also managed to get the rear wheels spaced and attached to the chassis of my Mazda 787b and also mounted the rear wing on the lower mount setting so that it looks more realistic. :)

Mastino; I cut mine there too, although not as neat a job as you appear to have done! I then managed to hinge the rear of the body where the bumper mounts using some old Meccano I found!

Jim the Mazda is looking awesome. Have you ever had the opportunity to see the 787B in person? I got to see it at Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago. Sounds like nothing on this earth, probably my favourite LM car ever. I will own a Tamiya one someday, but it will be strictly kept on the shelf!

I plan on going in the next few years as my son is only 7 months old it would be a waste and too loud for him. Yes I agree the 787B is one of my favorite cars ever, and easilly IMO the best sounding race car ever too :)

This 787B is a shelf only :)

Yes factory finish, although being honest it is not that good in person. The wheels were painted by myself.

I am planning on painting the whole inside black (so that it doesn't show colours past the wheel/tyres and also adding a cockpit part soon ( if anyone knows of one for sale ;) )

Slowly getting there with my FAV build. I was mad about Battlefield 2 back in the day, so it had to be black.

All built bar the motor. The FAV needs real long motor/esc wires so awaiting a wee modelsport delivery to be able to complete it. Had a spare Orion 19x2 sitting here, so that's going in with a tiny little 2s lipo.

Not much RC related today. My daughter had friends over for her b-day. Copied the DS decals to use as masks to get the window masking done properly once i managed to find my Tamiya 6mm masking tape which seem to have disappeared from my tools box <_<
