I fitted some DF03ms wheels to my Vantage and it decreased the rear track width, so I have had to fit long TG10 rear axles to compensate for it. So not sure on the DB01

Would those pink lightweight wheels fit a DB01 Durga?

The Durga normally uses pin type wheel connection, and there is very little thread left on the axle after fitting the normal wheels - adding a hex adaptor and then the hex wheel probably won't leave enough thread on the locknut to secure the wheel.

Shows my lack of knowledge, I thought all modern buggy's used hex's :-(

That's a shame, I love the Durga but am not keen on the dish wheels, I fancied doing something different with either lightweight or df03 wheels.

The Durga uses pins in the rear, but an ultra thin hex at the front. Personally I would swap the wheel axles out for hex type ones so that gives you a wider range of Tamiya wheels to choose from.

Is that pretty straight forwards? Would df03 axels fit?

IIRC TL01 and TG10 standard length axles will fit straight on. Its when it comes to front CVD driveshafts that you may find a problem if you run them on your DB01. Although I am sure there are other that fit the DB01 with a standard 5mm hex fitment.

Well it sure didn't happen all overnight, but it finally happened. Every one of them is up and running,,,even the Rothmans truck. All the electronics are hooked up and functioning, There's only a couple that really couldn't be up graded to both brushless and lipo but most have been. Of course there's some nit picky stuff like detail work but nothing major. I took the opportunity to save the moment in time with a couple of group pictures.

Today was tidy up day so all old parts and unused new items for Avante went back into their storage box.

Ordered paint to finish this rebuild/conversion -no idea what the colour I've ordered will be like in reality as only one poor image on the internet; could be a winner or big loser

Started to strip down the original pumpkin project that arrived today, decided best option is to remove electrics and drop it in warm soapy water for 24hours such is the thickness of dust on it all.

Put together an axle for my F350 high lift. Nothing special really, except I had my 2 year old son helping me by passing me tools, inspecting the assembled gears by turning the pinion shaft, and he also dropped the screws in that held the axle together and turned the screwdriver to loosely do up the bolts. Quality time :)

Finally finished the FAV/DPV... no chance to try it outside, but appears like it will be "fun" (front suspension mainly)

It was a decent build, im terrible at detail so the painting part was good fun

stripped the electrics out of the pumpkin that arrived yesterday - dunked it in snow foam solution all day, brushed and rinsed tonight - chassis looks fab now. Went on my usual project spending spree and looks like I'm not building two pumpkins

Did a little bit more work on the Mini Cooper. I found this stuff on Banzai Hobby, it's basically a textured sticker which you can apply to the inside or outside of the bodyshell.

I used a hairdryer to get them to sit a bit more flat as this stuff isn't as flexible as it likes to think in the marketing buff. I applied some translucent red and orange to the rear lights, initially on the inside, but this was a PITA, so I also applied some on the outside as it was easier to get a neat line.

New front skid plate and bumper for the Savage fitted today, I must now stop fiddling with it and move on to another model.

New steering servo and super strong adhesive for body post on the Brat Foot, so it should now be a really good one to run. Small potatoes but all progress.

Stuck my Vintage Boomerang and Vintage Wild Willy sticker set on the bay as well.
