I installed the racing steering set, so already the 4mm ball ont he steering cam is upgraded to 5mm one.

The servo linkage then becomes a stright roll with 5mm rod ends/ball connectors.

At the servo i used the larger arm of the 51000 Hi-Torque servo saver, along with the slotted top 5mm ball stud, spring washer and small 2mm (?) nut

Its very tight against the top chassis plate but because the servo horn travel doesn't have to be too great its not caused any issues as yet on the bench test. I would imagine if you can't limit the end points on your transmitter though you could well have soem interference if the servo was able to travel beyond the necessary sweep.

Thanks. I have the racing steering set included but from my eye, it seems the servo horn/saver is the main culprit in the remaining slop, so was interested to hear how your build affected things.

Couldn't decide to go blue or gun metal, so went both :)

Have messed up the side decals, to many creases.

If anyone has a 2001 front damper stay please pm me

I was going to get a vajra but got put off... I take it a lot was involved in the conversion..

Anyhow today I replaced the worn ally pinion in my brushless mad bull with a new one

I also used epoxy to waterproof the receiver rather than a ballon that still got wet sometimes

I also missed out on a nib hummer kit on eBay... My max was 175 and was outbid

Today I spent a few hours swearing at my soldering iron as it was struggling to melt the solder for me to change all the connectors over on the esc and battery charger. In a fit if rage a dumped the soldering iron in favour of a £3.50 gas oven lighter ........5 mins later job done!

After tea my daughter and myself stuck some absolute 80s on and got down to building her jun watanabe hornet, this is my first ever build and should I really have found it this hard so far ??? Will post a few pics in a mini build thread some time.

I had an hour in a muddy car park with the brushless Brat Foot and I had the best time being 10 years old again!

I drove it like I stole it and it was just brilliant, jumps, skids, puddles the whole lot!

Split body shell, broken roll bar and detached front body post....mere flesh wounds!

No I haven't, I just have an order list ready and may purchase another kit. I am using the ancient art of 'Tantric Tamiya' buying :lol::lol:

Today I completed the body for my daughters jun hornet, only the driver and lights left to paint.

Also let her take the car out for a quick spin, she did really well and manages to miss the only pedestrian that got in the way.
