Love the Pilot scheme. I really wanted this when it came out (and still do) that's why when the Tiger Stripe came up a snapped it up. I'm still waiting for a Pilot version for a shelfer. Takes me back to watching the Top Gear Rally Report in the evenings as a kid with Mr Wilson giving it the beans :)

Rebuilt my Avante BS diffs. Sanded the plates and used Team Associ Black grease and Silicone lube. Feels much smoother, but decided I'm going to fit ceramic balls all round.

Even though I didn't want to I was forced to strip the rear gearbox on the Cossie as the wrong pinion had been fitted to the motor in the wrong mounting holes. I'm glad I did as the spur gear was confirmed to be knackered too. I'm also glad I did because it turned out the previous owner was even more slap dash than I thought as they were lazy enough to only fit metal bearings to the wheel hubs. In the end I decided to break out the Ultrasonic bath and strip/clean both gearboxes ready for a fresh set of bearings which I now need to order. This resulted in my workbench having a TA-01 spread across it like so:

Tore apart the Double Dare to ballrace and upgrade it, (managing to snap one screwdriver in half and round the ends off two more) only to discover that the expensive Thorpe outdrives I purchased aren't true and cause binding in the drivetrain. The dog learned some new words today.

Like your work area Steve, especially the iPad for a digital manual. Also the ultrasonic cleaner  :D

Thanks, the iPad is a god send, I've got loads of Tamiya manuals saved as PDFs in iBooks, very handy indeed!

Received a new clear FTX Vantage body which I have decaled up with some original Tamiya Madcap decals for my runner. Was going to paint it white with smoke windows, but I'm going to leave it as is for now I think :)

I have the trugy version of the FTX Vantage - the Carnage . Fitted a old Wild Dagger lexan shell . Very under rated cars for the money . It performs well on a 9T brushless and 2s lipo .

Last night I picked up two Futaba 4ywd 2.4ghz from my lhs and installed one and swapped the 55t integy with a rc4wd 55t in my knight hauler :)

Drove the heck out of my Frog. Got it dirty. Got it wet. Flipped it over once. And had an absolute blast..!!

That is the true spirit of RC and what is all about...none of this blink blink shelf queen stuff...I guess I am not into the spirit of RC

I built them to drive them. We do respect the two Frogs that we have, we don't recklessly damage them, but we sure do drive them. If they break, I have lots of spares and patch them up, good as new. I'm not a shelf queen person. Same with real cars, I don't like trailer queens. They are made to be driven.

I do enjoy looking at the builds here. Fantastic work by very talented people.

That's what makes it such a cool hobby. Something for everyone.

That kind of respect is what I attempt to give to my vehicles - all my cars get run, but not dangerously!

Today, I made a note of another member's attitudes being similar to mine as it pertained to radio-controlled vehicles :P

Only had time this morning to take the Frog out for a quick spin. I tripped the digital speed sign on my street at 21mph. Pretty fast in my opinion.

Had a bit of a detail session on my 1:1 car this afternoon, it's first post winter detail :D

Also organised collection of my latest Tamiya acquisition for next Monday evening ;)

And finally, collated pictures for my next Build thread as my resistance fell and i burst open my Re-re Frog kit this week
