Started the revision of the Hotshot front gearbox. Same mess as with the rear. All grease is removed now and the housing is soaking in water and detergent.

Odd question. Would running one of these upset my dog or are the frequencies outside of his hearing range as well?

The frequencies used to cause vibration are usually very low, although all frequencies can cause any items to resonate, depending on what they are made of. Human hearing ranges somewhere between 20Hz and 22,000Hz. Dogs are generally more sensitive to different sounds, but are usually more responsive to higher frequencies. The frequencies used in ultrasonic cleaners are below 20Hz and are more felt than heard, and the most it will do is probably vibrate the work surface. Put a towel underneath to dampen it a bit, or sit it on inverted spikes to isolate it and minimize resonance out from the cleaner to another surface.

Oh, forgot to mention, saved my TX lipo once again today  I left my FS-GT3B with lipo conversion on once again. Voltage of the 3S lipo measured 3v when i discovered it today. Charged it on NimH with 0.3 amps and took it off when it reached 9.5v. Then hooked it to balance-charge it as lipo and check the voltage per cell and all ok. second time now, maybe i was lucky once again?

Not too much. Just spent a few minutes on the DF02, replacing the plastic prop with the alloy upgrade, and bought another box of who knows what from Ebay.

Well when I tried mine out my two Jack Russells just stayed laying around and making smells as usual so you should be fine :lol::lol:

Seriously though with this particular model there's no need IMO to do anything but use it you just get a medium buzz from it :)

I was working on upgrading the radio set in a crawler and it dawned on me how deep into this hobby I've gotten. At one time it was a couple cars and radios for each with a few batteries shared by all. Now it's multi car radio sets and everything has it's own specific battery, What got my attention was the fact that I'm at 1/4 full on the new six channel 20 model radio and it took one day. There's a total of 24 channels in use so far over these 5 and I caught myself thinking an 8 channel might be needed soon. I used to think my hobby involvement was a bit too much but today just pointed out how far over the edge I've gotten...I can't see the edge from here. :o

Picking up a portable TIG welder from a mates on my way home so I can do the welding on my 1:1 car over the weekend - oh what fun . Being a few years since I did any welding so wish me luck . Welds will more than likely look like Crow Turds - but that's what a Angle Grinder is for

My painting skills are terrible. Need to mask better next time, not overpaint etc etc. Doh.

That doesn't look bad, and green is a more appropriate colour for a Frog than pink or blue.

Took my daughter and the hornet out for another spin this morning, this time we used the Tarmac 5 a side pitch ....... I forgot those rear tires and Tarmac we're never the best of mates . Think i will invest in some brat tires and a new pair of pinks to keep for best.

On a lighter note chuffed to bits my little girl loves her tamiya rc.

Fitted the rear indicator LEDs in my high lift. Fitted the steering servo into the half track. Nearly done with the steering on it now, so should be able to drive it again soon. :) I'll just have the bodywork to finish off on it then.

Started the rebuild of a TL-01 into a low budget drifter...

New A (chassis) and C sprues (wishbones, links etc) means most of the plastics are new.

Locked the rear diff with blue-tac.

New ball bearings throughout

LED wheel hexes and drift wheel/tyres fitted

12446105-C562-4E8F-A647-7F3233BE7CAD_zps

Electrics installed

Just got the programming and a couple of body posts to sort out to finish this off, ready for sale.

And managed to buy another Bigwig whilst busy rebuilding the drifter

Then realised I've bought 5 cars in the last 4 weeks, resulting in now owning 60 models currently - far too many !

I did this in 2005 , with my TL01 . Made it into a drift car , even with the blue tac in diff & used the old PVC drain pipe

as the drift tyres , as RC drifting was only just started .

What would you do without Ebay ? , you would be rich  . Just like the rest of us .

& How do you get TL01 mixed up with Big Wig & buy one of those ??? , You have an

RC problem ....

Berman, thanks for the lead in or reason for this driver figure. I've seen a lot of different things for drivers to do but this one seemed appropriate. Signalling for a turn is my explanation, It needs work but I had to start somewhere.
