Yeah I'm still lurking around ;)

Used prices are a bit mad, might go for a simple new build to ease me back into it all.

Best value currently has to be the DT-03 neo fighter. , under £70 delivered from German eBay. Just add bearings, as it comes with torque tuned motor, ESC, CVA dampers !

Seen that, looks ok and a decent price granted, but I'm not too bothered about the new off road buggies

I'm either on-road or vintage off-road :)

Put a HK3100 receiver and an Mtroniks XT20 ESC into the Madcap as I wanted to bring that into the Lipo and 2.4Ghz age properly. The problem is that the ESC was intended for my Egress, but I'm still waiting for a motor for that. Since I used the ESC and want to use more Lipos I ordered a Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 ESC and an Nvision 45C sport pack Lipo stick from sellers on Ebay. Also bought another bag of bits for my DF03 rebuild.

Got blown out by my usual RC buddies so I found myself entertaining my niece, nephew and my own kids with a bit of obstacle driving. They didn't really have the control skills for that so we ended up jumping my Twin Hammers and Wraith

The Wraith didn't really have the speed for the jumps as it's running a 35T motor...

But it made a good subject to jump over :)

Don't worry, I tested it out of a few children first to make sure it would clear it :)

Nice day today spent some quality time with my Re Re Sand Scorcher, I bought it last summer but it rarely sees any daylight.

It kept disappearing off on its own, so in the end I've put in a new GHZ set I had planned to use on something else.

I tried different crystals, then handsets and then receivers..so I'm none the wiser.

I then cleaned the shell and fitted a new sticker set to hide some of the relatively poor paint work and it looks much nicer and I plan to lacquer it tomorrow.

A little video if you have not seen it before...

Loving the Blackfoot 3, the lighting detail looks fantastic, nice work :D

How is that Flysky set up? I've just bought one of those myself.

Ive got 2 sets, one the same as Grumpy's pic and the other the one with the screen. Both are great for the money, highly recommend. I just buy spare receivers for £4 or so which isnt bad.

Sloowly chipping away at my globe to k100 conversion...

Also got some new neighbours with 3 kids who saw me outside with one of my rc's

So went inside, grabbed my battered lunchbox and tired pajero and let them go at it, considering it was their first go at rc and the fun they had, I am hoping it will be a hobby consideration of theirs in the future :)

I fiddled a bit more with my Core RC handset, after fitting a receiver into my Madcap yesterday. The capabilities of this system are showing up the flaws/slop in the Madcap's steering, even after I've reduced it as much as possible with optional parts. Room for improvement, I guess.

After letting some DF03 parts soak overnight in caustic soda solution, I cleaned and inspected them today. I think they're Uncle Bucked! The previous owner used too much glue in the Diff, and after the thrashing I assume this car got, I have no other choice but to get new parts.

I thought the worn area in the middle was glue that could be removed, but I think it's actually glue and melted plastic from the diff gear. Beyond saving, new part ordered.

I gave a Jimny kit to my nephew a few months ago.

Unfortunatley my brother painted the shell without masking the windows.

So I have got a new body set for the little guy, hope he likes it

Sorry bud, I missed this...seems ok the kit, Surprisingly so as it was so cheap.

I'm pretty sure 2 new complete sets were £34 inc p and p.

I've only hand a little test drive and it worked well enough!

I'll end up buying some more, especially for the kids runners as the pull out ariels are always getting bent or getting poked into my face!

Got an hour or two of Tam time in, I wasn't sure where to start as my desk and work area were in such a pickle so I had a tidy up which was very therapeutic!

Then my Sand Scorcher runner shell got 2 coats of clear coat as a bit of extra protection from the scuffs and scrapes it will get.

I've just bought some of these as an experiment really. I'm curious to see how tight their tolerance is when compared to the usual 4mm adjuster found on a lot of Tamiya's earlier 1/10th scale kits. With a bit of luck these are nice and tight and might help reduce play in some model's steering set ups.

Today I've taken about an hour to place 4 flippin bonnet & wing decals on my Intergrale!

Considering it was going so badly 30mins ago that I was wondering how much a new set would cost... that don't look too bad!
