I thought my NIB terra conqueror deal was going to fall through as they realised it was missing the A parts and B parts and didn't want to sell an incomplete kit, but I managed to sort a deal out so it should be here next week. :)

along with a top force hop up carbon chassis :D

I ordered a Rock Socker from Stella, fair play to them, they refunded some money already due to postage savings.

Looking forward to it, but in Poland for a week so wont get it for a while :(

I also bought bearings for it, but on further research it might come as standard. Oh well, they wont go wrong :)

I have some 3racing upgrades for it already bought months ago, I think I was making excuses to buy one in the end :P

Oooo interesting. - I'd weighed up buying from Stella but figured fusion were only £30 more so not worth the customs risk.

What did Stella's price end up at if u don't mind me asking ?

Sure, it was $319 based on the web but they refunded $24 which is nice of them.

So, ended up being about £182 which isn't bad.

Im interested to see how the customs part goes compared to Banzai, will let you know though

Everything has finally arrived for my Mad Bull so I will start it tonight!

Also popped some longer uprights on my Rising Fighter so I could fit some Wild Willy (I think) chrome wheels and chunky tyres.

And lastly I'm currently painting my Daughters Mad Bull body shell, she wanted the brightest pink I could find! Pics to follow!

Having been out all day got home to an e-mail telling me that my Wild Willy 2 order had not been processed.

So a few taps on the keyboard and I now have a Black Lunchbox on its way.

More indoor gymkhana following more broken parts on the Quattro... I will probably avoid any type of roadway for now, even the largely traffic-free one right in front of the place I am staying!

The left front suspension is now under repair:

On the other side of things, my BMW GTP is an incentive for keeping the floor in my room clean! Here it is with several empty bottles of health product that I use as pylons:

I also dismantled my parts-car Striker and reorganized its shelf:

Disappointment began the day when my Toyota GT-One would not start, but I figure the home-waterproofed ESC had given up - it was not surprising; just underwhelming. New radio gear may be in store...

Took my M05 to the TamiyaUSA track for the first time and first run on that chassis, pretty embarassing. :( I was the only one on a silver can, and being a track virgin, I was lapped really quick. Doesnt help when my steering horn kept falling off and I had to retrieve it from the track. Time to start getting the upgrades and start building my TA06.

Stripped a Terra Scorcher that arrived mid week - cleaned the body and trimmed it correctly, and then trimmed the decals.

Got the gears and screws soaking in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Then the weekend chores :( Cut lawns, washed three cars and polished and waxed two of them

Back to work for a rest tomorrow

Replaced my Monster Jeep tarp and painted it a lighter colour. Also fitted a WW2 fuel can and winch.

Looks better with the lighter tarp I think. Good move!

I have installed today the rest of the stickers, the windows, the wipers and mirrors on my lancia. Next, I paint a rally cockpit and rebuild the TA03R-S.

Is there a build thread for that Mitsi?

These is, somewhere waay back in the mists of forum history. It isn't too interesting to look at these days since I have changed image host, and many of the photos no longer display properly. One of these days I'll get the originals off my old laptop and redo it.

Broke yet another Traxxas steering servo. Apparently the gears in those things are made of some sort of hard cheese...

Which Traxxas servo are you using? I have several in my runners and wonder if I should be aware...

Today, with no wire to effect repairs to the broken plastic on my car, I found my paperclips. The upper front suspension mount broke, so I unwound and coiled a paperclip to the inner circumference, cut it, and glued it to the inside of the broken piece:

Years may pass before I see an available intact replacement on eBay, so I made this repair. It came after I realized I would need to add metal reinforcement to breakages, just to allow an old rally car to keep running...

It's a 2018, which I think is equivalent to a basic Futaba S128/148/3003. It's in a 15 year old bone-stock Stampede that I got from my dad with very few runs on it. Though I have stripped out a "heavy duty" 2056 and a 2075 as well. Not a fan.

I think you have better chance of avoiding charges with Stella since they don't specify the specific contents on the customs form, whereas Banzai attach a false invoise with the kit number and description,

Good luck with avoiding HMRC - now Fusion have realigned their prices (due to exchange rate ?) I think I'll go the safe option and buy within UK - £206 delivered is a grea price for a CR-01. Going to have to wait a month, £1k on 1:1 car tyres in the last 4 weeks has dented the funds for RC :(
