I marked off my beater Lancia bodyshell for a new project:

But that project may go on hold as soon as it started gaining momentum, for I finally built up the insanity to go for a TR-15T restoration! Nonetheless, a trip to the hobby shop will be in order soon to make the cuts...

Stump037?

Thank JennyMo (and IBIFTKH) for that - I know I do ;) It just seemed so much more fun than a regular 037 with Wild Willy at the wheel...

I hope to pick up some supplies for the chop and refurbishing later this week, including brake fluid, plastic putty (any recommendations?), a razor saw, and the like.

I finally have the guts and maybe the means to start it, although I am not sure when I would acquire a wheelie chassis, or even know which one to pick up! It all depends on whether or not I can chop enough to get down to a 170mm wheelbase (WR-02 or even a GF-01), or if I should hold back to 207mm (CW-01 - that swing-axle front suspension drives me nuts, though). The re-release 037's wheelbase is 237mm, but the original's measures at 248mm due to the large wheel arches.

A build thread may start once I pick up some momentum on the 037 project, since I think a thread that gets updated maybe once a month is not terribly interesting - unless it has some 037 talk sprinkled about!

I also thank TC member Incredible_Serious for his Incredible patience while I hedged on acquiring his TR-15T. In the end it went to eBay, and he has been a class act all the way through to the sale :)

Make it happen!

I would go for a WR-02 (occasionally you see the Samba Bus kit on ebay at a good price - I think I paid £120 for mine NIB) to keep it authentic RWD... although I could see it working with a GF-01 kit too if you didn't want the huge wheels - which do need a lot of wheelarch modification if you want them to clear on full travel (see the original STUMPkin thread)

Can't wait to see it rolling!

Began replacing the screws on my TA03 with stainless steel socket replacements from Orbital Fasteners. Can feel another order coming on as it's always surprising how many you actually get through on one chassis alone!

Also fitted a 20T pinion to my Blackfoot Xtreme basher. It runs the Speed Passion brushless system which has notoriously bad motor holes, so the screws were also replaced with some steel versions from ABC Hobby.

Also considering putting the original wheels back on it for a bit more top-end, currently it runs a set of Wild Willy wheels, please see my wanted thread!!

I'd totally lost my Tamiyaness for a while now, I've been buried with work for 6 months.

But I think it's just starting to come back....tinkered at my desk and tidied up a bit in readiness for a bit Tam therapy.

I have finished my Buggy Champ

(wheels and roll bar painted with chrome effect spray, looks almost like real aluminum)

Some pics of my Blackfoot Xtreme mashup after its' recent hardware upgrade and larger pinion install. This is currently my favourite beater, but I wish it would just go in a straight line sometimes! Got my butt handed to me by a mini 4wd thing. Got my own back; ran it over at the earliest opportunity

Also you can see my Turnigy buggy in the background; which is currently out of action after just one 1700 MaH LiPo :(

Really nice finish on that. Can I ask did you paint the wheels?

Mounted a servo on the steering axle of my new trailer, which runs off a separate receiver in the storage box that's bound to my transmitter with a switch installed running off the motorised support legs battery pack. Took a while but it works B)

Painted the Knight Customs engine, added Axial lights and started to build a roof for the FAV

Also done the same with a few other cars, the King Blackfoot mainly. All of my cars had little niggles needing done so that should be it, i think
