Well, actually, it was yesterday, but the kids bashed the Grashoppers a bit more. I tried putting a GroPro on the rear of my Neo Scorcher to see what could come out it. Shot at 60fps and edited to 30fps for 50% speed. GP wideangle lens requires the cars to be really close. We need a bit more practice:

EDIT: Adding something from today; "Upgraded" the Grasshoppers with 3S LiFe from the 2S LiPo which added som punch to the 380 motors. They do get a bit hot, though, when the kids are doing prolonged donuts in the sand They are only 380 motors, so they'll have to survive as long as they can, then I'll drop a pair of 540s in the Grasshoppers instead. Or a pair of 28mm brushless motors to keep weight down.

Also tried chasing the Grasshoppers with a 808 #16 not-so-wide angle camera on top of my Neo Scorcher:

I like ur videos, very exciting. The Neo Scorcher"s suspension seems very stable over undulating terrain.

Today I've ordered more parts as it was payday. I really shouldn't have but oh well!

I have two orders on backorder with HobbyKing, a new Banzai order, VapexTech Lipo on order and a couple of eBay items. Total spend around £100 - eek.

I've bought something that isn't Tamiya! I feel a little bad but I couldn't resist! It was looking all drifty and stuff so I bought me a Sakura D3!

On the Tamiya front most of the other parts arrived today to swap my Baja champ's tl-01b chassis to a road going version. I had planned to build a drift car out of it but as I no longer require it for that purpose It will be used as a touring car.

My mistaking of rear spring eyes for rear shock collars meant I ordered the incorrect parts to enable adjustable rear suspension on my Quattro. I installed the parts anyways:

Today I made up some transponder mounts out of scrap polycarb for my DF01 and DT01 in preparation for tomorrow's A1 Revival meeting. Didn't want to drill holes in the shells!

I stopped being a builder, and spent a battery pack in my modified 4wd Blackfoot III with mahoooosive suspension. Such a fun little vehicle and brought a real big grin to my face.

Did make me think that I should play more and build less
