Sorted out the lecky bits and set up the TBLE02 ESC on my brothers Tumbling Bull.

He's building it for a mate that use to be a farmer and looks the spitting image of Gru from Despicable Me :D I'm trying to get him to swap the Tamiya drivers head for a Gru action figure and mount it on a spring :)

Been running the Avante 2001 the past couple of days, but decided today was the day to strip it down.

Gonna give it a clean now to get it ready for building.

Puts my efforts today to shame Steve :(

1. resolder battery plug, and repaired the receiver wires on a mtroniks ESC - from scrap heap to runner :D :D

2. rebuilt the shocks and installed on Terra Scorcher project.

3. reinstalled vintage radio gear, and installed new Sport Tuned motor on same

Not huge things by any means, but the TS project had been sat in pieces for a while (depressingly) and looks a whole heap better after 2 hours of my attention. Plus the RC project area looks a little tidier as a result.

Fitted a new motor to my track TT01 - a budget 13.5t sensored brushless that I bought for 16 quid from Hobbyking to go along with the TBLE-02 ESC that I got for a tenner off Amazon.

I am not anticipating amazing performance from a brushless motor/ESC setup that cost less than a good brushed motor, but we shall see how it goes.

On the subject of which, does anyone know which of the three coloured wires on the TBLE-02 correspond with the A, B and C terminals on a non-colour-coded brushless motor?

Stripped and repaired the entire gearbox on my Frog.

ETA: She runs fantastic now, even 1987-quick. Cleaning off the tires a bit and on the display table she goes. A very fun project that has come to an end.

Super G Grasshopper, now to start working on you :)

Been very busy today, first off I found the Lunchie's front shockers droop way too much so as a temporary measure I have added the deep pre-load clips that were left over from my Nova Fox build. I don't think it's the damper so much as the spring is just a bit too limp...

This evening I have added/replaced the receivers for my new HK 3100s :D

So my Lunchie, Nova Fox, Frog and Super Hornet II are now hooked up to my Core-RC Code transmitter ;)

And now for the pièce de résistance...

I have spent most of today building my own 360° Go Pro swivel :D:D:D Once I have got it bob on and I am happy with the footage I will post all the ingredients and a how too for anyone who is interested ;) It's giving great results straight off the work bench though, so I'm rather chuffed B)

Oh and no body shells were harmed in the making of this 360° Go Pro swivel :P Waiting on supplies to complete the proper attachment design I have in mind...

Today I put a load of stuff up for sale on eBay to try and raise funds for the JV Shop CC01 Pajero bumper I'm currently struggling to justify to myself!

Then I also got a roll of wrapping paper and used it as a makeshift photo booth so I can start putting some of my models onto TC at last.

I even dug out my old trusty TA05R drift car. This was a competition car and it has very little modification from stock TA05R kit, but complete with the competition-spec 19T Yokomo motor and highly-regarded Novak XRS ESC (look at the state of that wiring!!) not even a Deans connector in sight. Anyway, this is what a 2nd place chassis looks like, front one-way diff was all that was needed. Drifting has come a long way since back then and now extreme steering angles is what it's all about, I can't get much from this so may look at modifying it. I soon lost interest in the hobby after this, not least because the D1RC seemed to be a bit flawed in that you were up against the guy who organised it and his son, who also made up the rules (!) the first nail was the out-lawing of the TA03F, which I had spent all winter buying and importing hop-ups for only for them to basically cut me from the competition. The TA05R chassis kit was new at the time and I borrowed money to buy it, quickly built it and did very well with it. But like I say, I just didn't click with the other guys running in the competition (I wasn't related for a start!!)

Body looks a bit worse for wear now too!

And the aforementioned TA03F which has some really tasty hop-ups fitted. I recently installed the GPM upper deck and the electronics have been stolen for another project, but I will inject more life into it some day!

This evening I did some swapping around of motors and ESCs in order to free up a 27t ROAR stock motor and TEU101BK ESC for my FF01 resto.

I started by fitting a new Hobbyking brushless motor and Tamiya ESC to my track TT01. This freed up the 20t Mtroniks Eco ESC and Tamiya TZ motor that I had been running in it. The TZ motor went in my DF02, freeing up the Reedy MVP 27t stock motor that was fitted to it previously. The Mtroniks ESC went in my TL01 Evoque, freeing up the TEU101BK that it had been using up to now.

Now thwt I have a suitable motor and ESC available for it, I need to source some suitable wire to extend the motor cables, as there is a fair distance between the front-mounted motor and mid-mounted ESC on the FF01.

Now that is cool. A real camera car to make ones own rc movie.

Oooo, lovely camera mount....can't wait to the video.

I've just used a battery pack doing some Sunday morning drifting on my drive as it's been ages since I took that car out and I'm itching to get back to RadshapeRC for another go on their circuit

Just doing some test footage with the swivel mk1. Main points for modification so far.

1. boom too long

2. need better GoPro mount to allow adjustment of distance for better wide angle shots (handle bar mount ordered ;) )

3. need to damp the up and down motion a little more

4. needs to be lighter (shortening the boom and associated mods should help)

So waiting for supplies next week, so far pretty good though :D

Looking good you two, just put the Pajero back together myself. Need to order all the mods for it now:

Ha ha that reads like you did it without adult supervision :P

Looking really nice Steve, I have to admit I may need something more "scale" in my life. Never really interested me before but now... Oh this site...:wacko::wacko:
