Started a somewhat unusual scratch-build. Not sure if I should do a build thread, or simply show it off when it is done, if it gets done to a show-offable degree...

Did no-one tell you that Scratch Build = Mandatory Build Thread? ;)

Picked up Serpent F110. The box sure is tiny. A4 or 8.5x11 paper has a larger foot print. The length of the box is the length of the of the main deck without the T mount at the back. I guess without body, wheels and tire saved a lot of space. The amount of grease included compare to the amount of tooth paste one use each night is about a 1/4 of that, the containers are huge for what you get. No tools of any kind. One has to down load and print the manual. 3racing f113 was a much better buy with everything included, except motor and electronics. When i do get around building the F110, will see which of the two is better.

Did you ever do a build thread on the F113? Always fascinated by the F1 cars but have nowhere really suitable to run them. I have an F103GT I got out the other day, it runs so low to the ground I don't like running it! The RR motor is going in there soon :)

Been stripping down the Midnight Pumpkin that came with the Avante 2001 last week.

Pretty dirty, but ran fine during a quick bench test.

Only found one part missing so far, the BR1 Threaded shaft.

The tl01b-tl01 conversion is going great. Ran out of bearings though so this it where it's at until they arrive-

I've started playing about with my df02 this afternoon too, yet another long list of parts needed!

No, i am too lazy to take photos and upload or provide a link. And that is why i always appreciate those individuals that do it. For build thread, you may know already, youtube, which i think one can find almost all makes and models, plus hop ups and add ons.

I think you need a low turn motor, gearing set up whether for speed or acceleration, tires selection and camber set up etc as is only a light weight 2wd, so treation is important. I find the design so pure and simple in a way comparing to the 4wd with belts or shaft.

For running low on the ground, the F113 and F110 come with height adgustments for the rear you can select. If worry about road rash at the bottom, get those 3m type draw liner and stick it at the bottom. They are $1 or 2 for a square foot, good for 2 to 3 chassis.

I am tempted to get a bone stock base model and see how it will do with only bearings and motor up grades. I am heading towards F1 type rc.

Narrowed the Twin Hammers cage to fit my DT-02 chassis. Tomorrow night I'll be cutting the chassis to accept the cage.

Started with this:

Ordered all the parts to build up a second CR-01 chassis, once combined with the unused kit parts I already have !

It was light relief after 12 hours filling and sanding plus two coats of emulsion on the ceilings !

Started painting the Hilux today. Also added the pink Dyna Storm motor to my holiday buggy :)

This way I'll appease the RC gods and there will be no need for another kit to put it in

Sold and Packed up my Stadium Thunder it's off to Devon!

Fitted a Hobby King brushless set up to my Blackfoot that came out of my daughters LunchBox.

I also found a programming card in my spares for it, so it was easy to set up.

Donated a Vintage Brat to my father In law for a project!

Trying to work out which model is the next one to get the chop, still too many do anything useful with.

Tidied my work space again.

Like the bimmer and dino body.

looking at the 3 shells, are they correct scale? The NSX looks so much bigger compare to the other two even though the 3 are classified as 1:10 scale.

the m04 that has the nsx shell is fitted with tl01 arms and cvd's and also has extra chassis spacers to run the wheel base out to 257mm with track width of 188mm , the car with the alpine shell is a shortened m04 that has a 208mm wheelbase , :D

a short vid of the alpine being thrashed in a tiny area ,

Im so happy. My painting skills are poor, but the Hilux has come out really well. Zero bleed, no running, so good.

Me and my boy took the Avante 2001 out for a spin, I shouldn't have really as it's not finished yet as I need to paint the runner shell & get some new tires for the cam lock wheels but I threw some old star dish wheels on and gave it a run... unfortunately...
